Victim's Eye View

Go to CruxDreams.com
An interesting painting
I've never seen the scene painted that way ;) But I do guess my view would be a bit less controlled. Could I hold my head that straight? Wouldn't there things obscuring my vision, blood and sweat and dirty, matted strands of my hair (unless hacked away for humiliation), wouldn't my eyelids be half swollen shut, wouldn't I see blurred, and sparks and shadows for lack of air, as I either struggle for breath, or waste what I have for screaming...

I'm opening this thread with the idea that we don't see a great many images
showing a 'victim's eye view' (or, for HangingTree's benefit, 'malefator's eye view ;)) -
what a crucified woman sees - as she reaches her Golgotha, as she lies on her cross
to be nailed, as she's being raised, as she hangs there...

looking down, my slowly heaving, sweat-soaked, scourge-scarred breasts,
my nailed feet, blood trickling down the upright to the stony soil, the weeds, the bones;
looking to one side, my stretched arm, my poor, nailed wrist, my fingers clutching futilely;
looking up, the crows, the vultures, the blinding sun...

I know Crucificateur's given us some views like that,
I think I've seen some by the likes of Damian, Jedakk, Skating Jesus...?
There may well be more - please will anyone who's got any such images post them here? Thanks.

And if any of our brilliant artists are promptd to create new
'victim's eye views', that would be even better!

And, although this thread's in the Crucifixion area,
we don't rule out 'victim's eye views' at the whipping post, on the rack,
in the cage... any where a girl (maybe a boy) is suffering, or is about to suffer -
I think 'victim's eye views' in such situations are even rarer.

And writing too would be welcome - words that express not just what the victim sees,
but what she feels with her skin, what she hears, what she smells, the taste in her mouth...

It's an invitation to artists and writers to empathise, imagine yourselves in the suffering girl's skin,
and to image collectors to burrow in the picture-hoards and bring up exciting treasures.

This is a good exemple of victim´s view on a bsdm party

A few months ago, I posted a series of pics on the thread 'other forms of execution', of four women being condemned to death by hanging upside down. The last pic showed their view, in a stage when blood rush to their head had already started damaging the blood capillaries in their eyes, affecting their view. It seems appropriate here too.

That's an inventive idea, Loxuru.

I too wish there was more crux art showing the victim's point of view.

Although this Quoom classic doesn't offer that view, it's one that I've found useful for feeding fantasies about looking down at my naked, crucified body.

My small contribution to the discussion.
Certainly a crucified girl will see very little of her body, given the position in which she is located.
Here are:
the scene view in the distance.
V1v.jpg
the scene view from the top.
V2v.jpg
the scene view by performer.
(with a little more zooming for put in evidence te correct position of the victim eyes)
V3v.jpg
the scene view of the crucified girl.
V4v.jpg
She only see the tip of her breast.
I wanted to give a blur to the image to simulate her blurred vision.
The camera is correctly positioned on the eye pointing to the face of her crucifier.
