I found an involuntary resemblance between an old picture of mine and the famous Jan Styka's painting.
In both images a young Christian woman is being crucified and burned in front of the Vestal Virgins.

Powerful pictures, Michele and Martha, making me imagine myself suffering that fate.
One thing that isn't often taken into account in 'arena' pics is that the 'performers',
whether gladiators, martyrs, slaves etc., had their bare bodies well-rubbed with grease,
so they'd be glistening in the sunshine. I guess ones who were going to be burnt
would have been given an extra coating of animal grease (or tar)
to draw the flames up their bodies.

She then went to live with a Christian nurse who baptized her. Regina communed with God in prayer and meditated on the lives of the saints. She was betrothed to the proconsul Olybrius, but refused to renounce her faith to marry him, for which she was scourged, tortured with burning torches and finally beheaded at Alesia in the diocese of Autun (called Alise-Sainte-Reine after her). Her martyrdom is considered to have occurred either during the persecution of Decius, in 251, or under Maximian in 286."

Combining sports and torture: Freeclimbing with a barbed dildo in your pussy attached to the "safety rope". She better avoids loosing the grip... The "safety rope" will "catch" her in a very unpleasant way if she falls...
