Obscene Display.

Here he produced some of his most shocking and controversial work detailing the atrocities which were taking place at the time, like Plum Grove (1994). One painting in particular, Croatian and Muslim, detailing a rape created controversy partly because of its explicit subject matter but also because Howson had painted it from the victims' accounts. He was the official war painter at the Kosovo War for the London Times.

Eulalia, I followed the Bosnian butchery quite closely, and saw that painting in one of our news magazines.

Not the kind of "obscene" I had in mind for this thread.

Yikes.

Going back to some of my renders from The Serpent's Eye of Lucilla, a naked woman on an "X" cross would have been about as obscenely displayed as she could possibly be, unable to close her legs together, her female parts on full view at all times. Lucilla was given a sharp-edged sedile to rest on if she chose, trading pain in one place for pain in another. Here she studies the rough piece of wood between her legs, deciding whether she will try to rest on it:

Lucilla Scene 17-6_0001.jpg Lucilla Scene 17-15_0001.jpg

She tries to lower herself onto it as gently as she can:

Lucilla Scene 18-1_0001.jpg

But there's only one place the hard wooden edge is going, and everyone watching can see what is happening to her. She groans as it presses into her cleft and sinks in until her lower lips wrap around it.

Lucilla Scene 19-4_0001.jpg Lucilla Scene 19-11_0001.jpg

As she struggles to bear the pain between her legs while she tries to rest her arms, she vents her wrath on the slave girl who stands there watching her humiliating torture, shouting at her that she could easily end up naked on a cross herself like this with a piece of wood up in her cunnus, too.

Her words are prophetic; a few days later Sabina is hanging nailed to a cross in this same place outside of Rome.

My impure thoughts exactly, stepnash.

Jedakk? Got any thoughts about that? After so many years I rather think you'd like to move on from the Sabinaverse.

I edge away from Sabina into other things, then get drawn back. There are just so many possibilities!

Lucilla, of course, was meant to be a bit player whom we would glimpse in passing. She was the trigger to push Sabina over the edge, and we had to see her crucifixion - her sixth one - through Sabina's eyes. Lucilla had to be extraordinary, her story so over-the-top that it would be barely possible. I wanted it to overpower Sabina, actually overload her crux obsession so that it dominated and completely controlled her.

So yes, I continue to think about how I could approach Lucilla's full story. I think it should begin with a flashback to her trial, where the magistrate delivers her sentence. For Lucilla, this is beyond horrific - a sentence to an agonizing hell for what is going to seem like eternity, when she did nothing to deserve punishment. But everyone will turn to Balbus, the carnifex, and ask him, can you do it? It's going to be a challenge to him to put Lucilla up on a cross twelve times. And maybe that story ends with Lucilla's first crucifixion and coming to her senses after days of agony to find herself recuperating in a prison cell and realizing that she's going to suffer like that again as soon as she has recovered enough.

So it could be done as several stories, not twelve of them but maybe three or four, ending with her final crucifixion. All of which would be under the umbrella of The Serpent's Eye universe. And there could be other stories from other characters, such as Verina, the prostitute whose mother died on a cross. Or maybe Julia Lepida, who has to be sure that no one can reveal her secret.

Do it

Hmmm.

If Julia Lepida is found out and crucified in her turn, Balbus would probably get the job. What an interesting interaction that'll be to write, Jedakk.

I'm curious. Do you have a nude study of Julia Lepida? And one of her crucified?

I was thinking more about her getting other girls crucified, slaves who somehow get too close to the truth about her. She could always poison them, but now she's gotten a taste of what it's like to crucify a slave, she might want to do it again. And again. Particularly if they're young and pretty.

I have a naked study of Julia Lepida from when I was developing her character way back. She's a Stephanie 4 figure like Sabina, Lucilla and several of the onlookers, just different faces, bodies, skin and hair. Stephanie 4 is a petite version of DAZ's Victoria 4 figure. This one doesn't have the black eye I created for her later.

I don't have any crucified versions of her because I never intended to crucify her. She told me I couldn't pay her enough to hang on a cross, so I guess that's that.

Aw, shucks. That's hard news for yours truly.

Time to cheer myself up with some Noble Vulchur.

Nice ass :)

Ah well. :( I guess every girl has her limits :(

So I was looking through a Phlebas thread from a few years back and found my favorite cartoon nerd Velma, crucified not-quite-naked.

I knew there's terapixels of Scooby Doo porn out there (hey, Rule 34), so I spent 15 minutes I'm not proud of spending googling "Scooby Doo Velma crucifixion porn."

I don't know if I should be disappointed or relieved that there's not much out there.

Oh come on Jedakk, surely you know our wily womanly ways, that's just a typical teaser ;)
JL's absolutely fascinated by the whole idea, I know she's bubbling under that blue chiton

I'm reposting this cheerful lady for a supremely selfish reason. I'd like to know if there are any more photos or videos of this shoot. The original name/label is Blandina.jpg

Anybody?

No she's not supposed to be a defeated superhero (fairly popular subject with some 3d artists but not me...) instead i imagined her as a defeated princess or a queen in a far away fantasy land crucified by a cruel enemy invading army.

Works for me. Got any full body shots?
