Forest Crucifixion - Vivian's Crossroad

Some of these work surprisingly well, Morten, better than I would have expected.
You will find though that actual (upright) suspension crux, even to some degree where there is tension in the arms and torso, will give you a whole new and very beautiful view of the lady. It will accentuate her lines and draw out the best of her, as well as hinting more strongly at the struggle of crux. I would love to see you try this in the coming northern summer :)

On the other hand if you aren't confident of your opportunity to build a safe cross then you should feel under no pressure to do so. In addition the tension under suspension is the result of strain upon a body and your wife's safety comes first. I think one of the things that Phlebas might be hinting at in the above is trying with a cross tilted backwards so the lovely Vivian was only partially exposed to the pull of gravity. Of course you would want to ensure the whole structure was safely braced so it would not topple.

Still safety first as that way we can all enjoy the lovely Vivian for many years to come :)

Yes safety first of course, we are talking about a potentially dangerous act, but it's all in how you do it. The kind of full suspension you see in Makar or Dream Boy Bondage is the ideal, but any means of putting a little more tension on the arms and torso will give great results visually, and will enhance the experience for the subject too. The safest way is to hold onto something that you can easily release, eg the patibulum itself or some handle or grip on it. This allows a degree of tension with full freedom to quit immediately if necessary. Bindings are something you need to be careful with, you don't want to restrict blood flow or damage nerves and tendons, and they may take time to release. Doing it as a couple is safer than solo for obvious reasons.

On sturdy crosses, if you have a basic cross you can always fix/bind it securely to a tree or similar strong upright object to save yourself working out how to keep it from falling over! I've done this with several strong upright objects with success, as long as your cross components are securely fixed to each other and will take the weight.

So start small, attach something to the cross to hold onto, let her flex her legs and take some weight on her arms, and away you go!

Yeas, that"s right. We"ll try like this. Of course Makar"s works and models are great and fine example to follow.

I had fallen off getting on the forum for several months, but was extremely happy to see the continuation of your thread Morton. I will say this, I love all of the photos you have posted of your lovely Vivian. I am jealous of you. To have a partner that is receptive to this in any way shape or form, is incredible. Whatever happened this summer, the number one priority is safety.
