basically I write a draft on paper in pencil.... and once the story is written go through it a bit at a time, and allow for corrections along the way...
I'm ALWAYS doing at least 3 or 4 edits on the actual CF posted version, before the edit option runs out of time.... ;) then I'm done!!
(remember to leave paragraphs....)

How does the edit process work?

How does the edit process work?

You have a limited period of time to edit after posting. Use the edit function near the bottom of the post screen. After time is up, you’ll need to ask a moderator to make any changes.

My method is to write the story in Libre Office. I used to use Word but my new computer didn't come with it. Libre is more like the older versions of Word. I use a newer version of Word at work and I don't like it as much.

I write the entire story then review it and make corrections. When I'm happy - or at least think it won't get much better - I copy and paste to the site. The formatting for both Word and Libre works just fine when pasted here, unlike some other sites (The Dark Spot) where you have to fiddle with things.

Keep in mind there is a word limit per post - I don't know how much - so you will have to break things into multiple post in most cases.

I usually write on my iPhone.

It’s all in the finger action! :p
See, she is a Trump fan!!!:peep:
No, she's just young. She can't do anything without her phone and can only type with her thumbs.

No thumbs. I'm all fingers :p

I write out the story until finished (my current problem, at least ten in scaffolds, but I am still unsatisfied with them).

I split them up into chapters (preferably with a sort of cliffhanger at the end). Ideal for posting is a pace of 2-3 per week. After a last editing of the chapter, I do copy paste from Word to the board here; Then , a very last editing (paragraphs!) on the posting board, and finally : 'click'.

I usually draft the first few episodes of a story and see how it goes.... when I feel reasonably happy that it's up and running, I begin posting it, but keep drafting a few episodes ahead of what I've posted. While, by the time I start posting, I have a general idea of the 'shape' of the story, I don't usually plan it, I find that, once I've established the situation and the main characters, they seem to 'take off' and carry me along, it's strange, I sometimes feel they're telling me the story, I just have to find the words!
