Bartnel's Inferno

Well ... it appears that Saint Eulalia was 12 years old when killed ... meaning she was nearly a child. .... I ALWAYS refused to make characters who could be or even look like children.

Perfectly understandable considering today's morals and laws.

But just to put things in perspective a girl was considered a mature adult at 12 years and 1 day by Roman Law. Basically once puberty set in you were an adult.

And the concept of a person being an adult in western society at 18 is a fairly new concept. It wasn't until sometime after 1960 that it was no longer legal for a 13 year girl in NJ to get married with her parents permission or in Louisiana with out their permission.

I also have cousin who at 12 her "cups runeth over", I've seen the pictures. I've seen adult strippers with less cleavage than that girl had.

And I've slept with 30 year old women who giving them credit for "A" cups would have been generous.

I agree with you willowfall ...
I've seen some artists creating CG characters (as I do) and who claim the legal "All characters in this story are above 18 years old "
This is very strange : after all, Genesis 2 and 3 characters mainly used within DAZ are not older than 2 or 3 years ...
Even the "old" character Elaine (V3), which was created in 2002, has not yet reached the age of 18 !

the fact is : I live (and share my work) nowadays ;)

The rework I'm thinking of is about the dynamic hair which moves as if it all glued . It is even more noticeable in original size (1024x576) !

Again, something new :)
This summer was entirely used to make experiments and here's the very first attempt of something I promised to someone long ago ;) !

Again, I tried to set up dynamic long hair ( not an easy thing to do well ) :

I love it...that is how Erin was crucified.

Thx

A final test for this "x-crucified" girl :

V6-xCruxtest04.gif

Now, I'm more satisfied with her dynamic hair !

About Gen2/V6 character, this is more balanced : girl is beautiful with a slim body, but more difficult to animate within Poser... and some features are lost when imported in Poser and even more when imported from Poser to vue for rendering ( subdivision is lost in VUE, so it becomes more noticable that Genesis characters are low-polygon ones ).
These characters eat more computer memory and time ... I think they were made for DAZ and only for DAZ ( DAZ is free but slow, and you'll have to spend a lot of money, to buy characters, hairs, clothes, objects, poses ... )

I suppose I need to experiment more, but I shall not have much time now ...

Thx

The hair works great!

now what did she do to deserve this???

Understand. I just told the St. Eulalia martyrdom in my "The Agent" story because there will be a parallel in the modern story (not underage). But, to err on the side of caution, I glossed over all the actual number in the story. It really didn't hurt the telling.

Willow, you are right about Roman age of consent, though most marriages were consummated closer to 14-15 for girls. But the cultural issue misses the point of age restriction. Have any of you who is not a development biologist wondered why humans take a fucking 11 to 14 years to enter early(!) sexual maturity? We are one of the slowest maturing species if not the slowest.

It is because our maturity is tied closely to our brain development and learning. Why is human childbirth by far the hardest on the mother of any species? It's because nature set up a race between the need to grow a big brain and a young woman's pelvis size. Tip of the hat to any mother's out there. You are a hero.

The same carries over to biological maturity Humans have so much to learn about tribe and culture and dexterity with tools, etc. children are given many year, sheltered from family responsibilities to learn.

The in our modern technological, knowledge-based society, we have invented schools and universities (not the best inventions, but men often screw up the first try- unfortunately we've never had a second try) and society has decided to infantilize teenagers up to and often into the mid 20's. In this culture, though their bodies many be ready, few, even pedophilia liberation types, would argue that a 15 year boy and 14 year girl are the best family to raise children in Western Europe

Sorry long rant.

Her belly, chest, and hips move subtly but erotically to drive a watcher wild. Well done!

Wow Bartnel you did a great job!

This is due to a specific feature in V6 family ( maybe all Genesis and later characters ? ) : a new body part called "pelvis" that can rotate independantly from other body parts ... this is quite technical, but the result is easy to understand ;)

Thanks everybody

Another V6 test. This one is more classical and without dynamic hair.

V6Triss2-Test.gif

To other CG artists : there's a big problem importing Gen2 character within VUE : the mesh remains low res. and no subdivision can be imported :( ! it becomes very visible on shoulders when arms are along body ... but the good new is : it remains inconspicuous when the character is crucified ;)
