Fake paperback cover by John Duillo from MAN'S DARING, March 1965-8x6.jpgFrench Girl Butcher - Fake paperback from Man's Daring March 1965 artist the prolific John Duillo. This Butcher guy looks dangerous. Watch Out, Messaline!!
DOUBLE-DETECTIVE.-May-1940.jpgDouble Detective - May 1940 - tentative move to be anti-Nazi: Croesus of Murder The Green Lama (an Buddist Green Lantern?) Battles a New Criminal Menace, A Führer who seeks to dominte the Gold Markets of the World, by Richard Foster. Nice whipping scene of redhead tied to a cross. If the military guy (notice SA type uniform but with no clear insignias. Anyone figure out what on his cap?) finishes on her back and then turns her around for another round on her front, and then goes to get a hammer and some spikes... YEAH!)

“Do Love Potions Really Work?” I don’t know about the others, but Love Potion #9!
It smelled like turpentine, it looked like Indian ink
I held my nose, I closed my eyes, I took a drink
I didn't know if it was day or night
I started kissing everything in sight
But when I kissed a cop down on Thirty-Fourth and Vine
He broke my little bottle of Love Potion Number Nine

“Exposed: Monte Carlo’s Massage Parlours!” And they massage everything!

“True Report! The Sadist who thought he was the Count De Sade! For years, this woman-hating killer punished those he Loved!” Marquis not Count! Sad but true story. However the Pulp came out too early to report the happy ending. I discovered cruxforums and I’ve been happy ever since (if the police don’t catch me for those earlier killings)

Cover Story: The 300 Nude Slaves of Shiek “X” He used harem girls for Barter and Pleasure?” And what else, pray tell, are harem girls for?? Art OK, but why the f**k have the dancer with a semi-sheer body suit? Even Hollywood was dropping that then!

Well, what do you know? Messaline herself made an interesting modification:

The Green Lama? Really? Wouldn't it be great if he rode a green Llama? And a John Wayne look-alike Fuhrer who seeks to dominate the international gold market by bull whipping fully clothed redheads. You just can't make this stuff up.

Another "Look Inside"
Untamed195909SeptemberCoverbyLeoMore.jpgUntamed, November 1959 - Menacing that sweet Latino Babe!
Untamed, Sept 1959 contents-8x6.jpgTable of Contents. Note article on the "High" cost of "miracle" drugs
TheThingThatStared8x6.jpg"It was all a game... yes, heh-heh... a game!"
TheHeroicOrgyofRayHarrison8x6.jpg"The orgy that won me a Silver Star." by ex-Pfc. Ray Harrison. "For 14 hours Alice and Yvonne (two sweet French girls with a taste for Italian Chianti) and me had been drinking and making love. Now they's have to wait (poor girls - all horny and nowhere to go). I had to stop that (trigger warning - ethnic, food-based, slur!) Kraut patrol." If you think that is the end of the cheap prose, the first words of the story - "Maybe I was drunker than nine million dollars (?), but I wasn't so drunk I didn't know I was in trouble up to my ears." And this man is holding an automatic weapon!
MurderIsaTwoSidedTriangle8x6.jpg"Murder is two -sided Triangle" I love Titles that are nonsensical! Girl's cute, though!
But the story we've all been waiting for: Are Strippers Oversexed? (inquiring minds want to know)
AreStrippersOversexed18x6.jpgAreStrippersOversexed28x6.jpgAreStrippersOversexed38x6.jpgAreStrippersOversexed48x6.jpg
You can try to read the story. But it's all so well summed up by the great Lili St. Cyr (bottom left in the third page in the series). She said:

“Strippers are no more oversexed than so-called movie sexpots. We’re artists, perhaps more than they.”

Amen, brother!

Can´t suppress a grin. Thats exactly the picture a lot of germans have of the americans :)
We asked for it.

The hard-drinking, swaggering, seducing anything in sight, no-respect-for-authority, but able to wipe out an entire Kraut (sorry) division with a weapon improvised from a Chianti bottle and a nail clipper, GI joe was a fixture in fiction (and near fiction) in the 50's and 60's.

And the action was always the Germans lining up to be shot one-by-one like the American Indians in a John Wayne movie or the Zulu at Rorke's Drift, while their fanatical officer, usually drooling and screaming like a stuck pig or a little girl, waved his Luger (which on a good day couldn't hit the broadside of a barn (classic American expression) but which always jammed at the moment of the American attack) and throwing it in foolish desperation and hitting nothing but giving some GI a cool souvenir of the war).

Ah, the wonderful world of stereotypes.

Marquis not Count!
Well I was thinking, being locked up in the Bastille was probably quite enjoyable for the old rake,
but demotion from Marquis to a mere Comte would surely have driven him to sadistic fury!

Although GI Joe was a popular action figur for our kids 20 years ago, these old stories haven´t been published here (no wonder). The pic of the trigger-happy "Ami" is based on the thousends and thousends of hollywood film where every resident has a armory to make the army envious, mingled with pics of rednecks and gangs (and not in the least the periodically shooting spree).
