Stan Lee, creator or co-creator of many comic book icons, who took Marvel Comics from an also-ran to a power house, who redefined the idea of a "super hero", and became a kind of hero himself, has died at the age of 95.

It's estimated that the Marvel movie franchise based on the characters he created grossed $ 24 billion at box office and is still going strong. Stan, like most artists, musicians and writers got only a tiny fraction of that, but that's life.
The Stan Lee story sort of reminds me of another major contributor to the Sci-Fi/Fantasy genre.He made more than I did... probably enjoyed it more too.

I understand that back around the turn of the millenium it was very popular with college students, who would gather in their dorms to watch it. I am assuming some illegal substances were consumed.
