OK, this is just a curiosity question. From the code that was displayed, it looks like "XenForo" was trying to log into an external DB and was missing a "certificate" or something and was denied access, so it couldn't bring up the site and just spit out an error message and died. (Displaying code on a failure instead of having an error trap display a harmless message like "sorry, mate, we're drunk at the moment" is a little bit of a security risk, but it wasn't a "core dump", so probably no problem.) So, ImageMaker is using a tool manipulating code from XenForo to build the site, and the data is actually stored elsewhere on a commercial server in a MySQL database (that's why you want thumbnails--you want to transfer as little data as possible on start-up, because it costs money, and only transfer the full pic when someone clicks on it). There was a security upgrade or something similar on the MySQL site, and something needed to be imported into XenForo to restore access? You just needed an update for Xenforo? No, it's a message we've seen before, when ImageMaker and/or XenForo are tweaking the system.
It doesn't seem to stop us from carrying on as we usually do, just ignore it.

I just don't want to have to be concerned that a malevolent presence like the ghost of Christmas Future (the timing was suspicious) is monitoring our activities, waiting to strike. Thanks.
I am the last to spread a rumor, but about these problems with login - does Barb have a alibi?
I believe not. Just after the crash she was heard saying, "I guess I'll get whipped for this." I cannot confirm what the 'this' was.
I WISH TO PROTEST THIS CAVALIER USE OF MY IMAGE, SOMEHOW SUGGESTING THAT AN INADVERTENT ACCIDENT, WITH PERHAPS A SCYTHE, HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH A RECENT TEMPORARY OUTAGE OF CF SERVICE. I WAS HAVING COCOA AT THE TIME AND WAS ASView attachment 657247
Just keep telling yourself - it's only a dream! it's only a dream! it's only a dream! it's only a dream!

There were three possibilities to me :XenForo is the forum software written in PHP that drives this forum. MySQL is the database it uses which may or may not be hosted on the same server, but as Imagemaker runs other websites too I assume he has some commercial arrangement to host and manage them. The short answer to what happened is that someone updated something, and broke the database authentication so the Forum could not connect to the database. As we know from the history of this site, that's a hell of a lot better than breaking the database itself!
1) Barb will have to explain something.
Why am I the first of the three possibilities
Because I was really worried the whole CF would look at you for it (remembering the 2013 crash). Why am I the first of the three possibilities
So you were online when the crash took place?Imagine what went through my mind! I was just posting when the thing went blank.
Too Late. That ... by the way should not in any way be construed as an admission of guilt
