(nun on the left) : "Bloody torture manual! It does not say a word how to deal with a victim that gets aroused by her treatment!"

alrob08.jpg Not neccesarily 'alien', just a (nearby?) future. Mechanisation of terrestrial law enforcement and prison wardens.

True, depends on your definition of alien, it doesn't always mean extraterrestrial :)

More down to earth here

It's odd....Barb never mentioned a convent education.

Oh, but I did. I wrote and posted a story, with the help of other CFers, about that here, entitled “The Competition” ... it’s about convents each offering up one of their novices for a competition, organized by the local bishop, for the best crucifixion re-enactment.

I stand corrected! I dare not think of you in one of the uniforms the girls wore back in my day :eyepop:

She gets tied and stripped with a hood over her face.

When they have finished, they remove it.gemma_arterton_stripped_21_by_celluloid_male_gaze_dbwmb2a.png

As she spots the awful wall coverings, she requests to have the hood back over her face!gemma_arterton_stripped_24_by_celluloid_male_gaze_dbwmbjj.png

Memo to Wragg: Replace wall coverings in Cruxton Abbey north bedroom. ;)

Just don't emulate Oscar Wilde's reputed last words: "Either this wallpaper goes, or I do."
Some of the best last words came from the Victorian politician Henry Labouchere. He was lying comatose on his death bed, when a paraffin lamp was knocked over, he opened one eye and is reputed to have said "Flames, not yet , I think". There are books outlining his serious works, but if anyone wants to read about his eventful life and many witticisms try "Labby" by Hesketh Pearson.
