I'm glad Jacks asked you those questions, Margot, and grateful for your answers.
One that I think about - do the women taking part contribute ideas from their own private fantasies?
Perhaps prompted to reveal such secrets by the very experience, of being naked, whipped, tortured...?

I will respond in length soon. But yes, they do contribute with ideas, always, particularly Camille and Amy. As a matter of fact, Amy built the torture contraptions she had to suffer in Maleficarum. She wrote many of the scripts as well.

Yes, I understand Amy's very great contribution.
And Camille is so convincing in Martyr, I thought a lot of her own inner life must have gone into it.

Camille had a tremendous amount of notes for Jac to refer to when writing the script, but not only that, Jac took many of her traits to build the character. It was an amazing collaboration. Not to mention all the rehearsals for a crucifixion they had for at least a year.

Can I ask whether the Passion of Isabel would be available to the general public ?? (Or is it exclusive to club members only ??)

The Passion of Isabel Coming to our Red Feline Store!

PassionIsabelSc05Still_08234819.jpg

The Passion of Isabel is in the last stages for its impending release. During the sound work the film was further cut down to 96 minutes. The film should be ready and uploading to the store by the weekend. It will be made available exclusively in our Red Feline store the last week of July. The trailer will also be ready by the time the new movie is at the store.

Our friend Dave posted a question concerning our plans for the future at the Red Feline Club:

Dave said: Hi Margot, While I am looking forward to the release of “The Passion of Isabel”, I too am wondering what your next project will be. I recalled some comments you made around year end on the Crux Foundation blog, so I went back to find them:

Dec 29 Post: ”In the meantime The Spectres of Blood Castle will be released next year, as well as Seven Days on the Cross Five, an hour and a half version of the 7 DAYS series but as a standalone film with the long awaited sequence of Varinia suffering impalement while she agonises nailed to the cross, the price she must pay for the water she’s made to drink, drop by drop, from the wet and dirty rag that once covered her tortured body. Another film that might be released next year is Double Cross, a film where Amy and Vero share a cross after being forced to torture each other.”

DoubleCrossPromo023.jpg

Jan 04 Post: ”There’s also a plan to release a special version of Martyr or The Death of St Eulalia. A compilation of the torture scenes, including those that did not appear in the film itself but were shot. It will be released as a Making Of movie titled something like The Martyrdom of Camille. The torture scenes will be longer, without intercuts of any kind, just straight forward from the beginning to the nasty end.”

Seems to me any of these would be a worthwhile project, especially the long awaited “Spectres”. Is there a chance any of these will happen this year? I for one would certainly support any (or all) of them.

The films Dave was referring to will be released, beginning with the Seven Days on the Cross 5. That film was edited already and I think it needs some tweaking before it is finally released. It should be ready to go for either August or September. A long and detailed response to Dave's question is at the Red Feline Club

A trailers of this film are planned? Bea is very beautifull and tallented. If her acting in this film will be that's good like in whipping scene in Justine (tears and passing out are masterpiece) I'll download it doubtlessly.

Bea carries the new film, of course and yes, there will be a trailer soon.

The Passion of Isabel is ready!

PassionProcessing20170730123039.jpg

As I write this, The Passion of Isabel is being processed for its upload to our Red Feline Store. This very intense movie should be available anytime this week. Once the two versions of the film are up in the store, the Trailer will be uploaded too. For those who contributed to our campaign I'll be sending their codes for download the moment the film is set to go in the store. For those who choose the DVD, shipping will commence Thursday. The film is 95 min long. The Passion of Isabel is, thus, ready! Production of this film began at the end of January and it was completed in the middle of March. Most of the film was shot in February. Post production began at the end of March and ended at the end of July. All together, this film took 6 months to make. Not as simple as one may think. The entire production was in Jac's hands, except for part of the make up that was self applied by Bea herself. Very exhausting work for Jac, very painful and stressful for Bea. But here it is, a new movie and now it will be up to our Red Feline Fan Base base to either like it or hate it. And I say our Red Feline Fan Base because that's the only group to which this film is targeted. It is a sizeable group, but not as big as the one that follows our more mainstream films, which includes Maleficarum and Justine. The Passion of Isabel is now in your hands.

PassionProcessing20170730123057.jpg

July is gone. All our attention was set on the post production of The Passion of Isabel. The new month begins with a new release, one that I expected would be ready at the beginning of July, but no, that did not happen. But it is ready now and August begins with this new film and the start of a new cycle. With the end of July, comes our stats, which is important to see. The numbers tell a story, always. All the films kept their position, all gained points in almost equal proportions, which seems to be a pattern. JUSTINE is the favorite in our store, vermeerworks.com, and goes neck to neck with Maleficarum in Amazon.com. We'll see how our new release, The Passion of Isabel, does out there. So, here the results of July:

1.- JUSTINE - 613 points
2.- Maleficarum - 333 points
3.- The Passion of Isabel - 222 points
4.- Le Marquis de la Croix - 135 points
5.- BARBAZUL - 98 points
6.- Dead But Dreaming - 74 points
7.- Agent X - 64 points
8.- Sirwiñakuy - 58 points
9.- Martyr - 57 points
10.- Red Feline on The Cross - 48 points

Martyr or The Death of St Eulalia - As the postmodern world is stormed by an onslaught of religious fundamentalism and resurrected holy wars, Camille, a 21st century young French woman, experiences the passion of a 3rd century virgin martyr.

Congratulations to all involved in The Passion of Isabel -
but especially to Bea, a great début!

Congratulations to all involved in The Passion of Isabel -
but especially to Bea, a great début!

Thank you!

The work is completely Jac's and Bea's. Only the two of them were involved in the production and Jac did all the post to the very end. Bea worked in three feature films with us previously, Olalla, a small part, Pygmalion a bigger part, JUSTINE a much bigger part, and now she has the leading role in The Passion of Isabel. I will elaborate in this response.

The Passion of Isabel has arrived to our Red Feline Store!

PassionPosterOfficial.jpg

After a maddening period of processing, uploading, processing again, uploading again, setting up and so on, The Passion of Isabel is finally in our Red Feline Store
All our early supporters received their codes and some of them already downloaded the film, many others already got their copy, before I made an official announcement. Those who asked for the DVD during our campaign, will be receiving it any moment now. In short, The Passion of Isabel is now in the hands of our Red Feline Fan Base. Our new film is only available through our Red Feline Store.

It will not be available in any of our other platforms, like Amazon. Do we have a large enough base to make this work? We shall see.

The Passion of Isabel - The year is 1501… The world is changing after a great discovery of strange and exciting new lands beyond the horizon. And yet, even amidst this hope, there is still the horror of the Inquisition. It is into this world that Isabel is accused of a horrible crime. Isabel is called to her father's side at the high tower in a palace. There, she will meet the man her father has chosen to be her husband: Torquemada - the lord of the land around her and the palace.

When Isabel's inebriate father proudly and publicly announces that he has given her hand in marriage to his aristocratic friend, she violently refuses - insulting both her father and their host. Enraged by this public humiliation, her father rushes to chastise her. To free herself from his grip, she pushes him, causing him to fall from the tower to his death. This dooms Isabel. For she is locked in a dungeon to await trial.

But there will not be any trial… Her fate now rests in the hands of Torquemada. And he has only one goal: Destroy the woman who humiliated and rejected him.

Will Isabel resist the tortures Torquemada plans for her? Will Torquemada break Isabel's resistance?

And what about trailers? Is it planned? When?

I don't know when Jac will have the trailer ready. We were very busy setting the film up in the store, the three of us, Jac, Amy and I. And now Jac is going over two films, Pygmalion and Spectres, because we want to release them in October. He might have the trailer done sometime this week. I'll ask. Thank you for asking.

The Passion of Isabel Rules!

PassionOfIsabelVidCap_00041415.jpg

The Passion of Isabel is taking the world by storm and it's only at our Red Feline Store. It's been a week since it's release and it's about to push JUSTINE, our big best seller, out of the first place. Will Isabel take that coveted spot before the end of August? If she does, will she keep it for as long as JUSTINE did so far? Only time will tell. The Passion of Isabel doesn't have the benefit of the wider reaching market afforded by Amazon.com and mainstream social media, with all the reviews, FB comments and so on, it only has our Red Feline Fan Base as the focus of our marketing efforts, limited to great sites like this one ... that's it. And we haven't really done much marketing, yet! It's selling strong with only our first announcement to promote it! And so far, NO reviews! Considering those limitations, our new release is doing wonderfully well and we have to thank you all for that.

PassionOfIsabelVidCap_00072210.jpg

Our Red Feline Fan Base IS a sizeable group! We're learning that now. In the last few years, since the release of our more mainstream big production budget films like Maleficarum, we weren't sure where the strength of our movies was. Our sales in amazon.com were big enough to keep films like Maleficarum and JUSTINE on the top, even Le Marquis de la Croix is in Amazon and has reviews in mainstream media, including awards. The Passion of Isabel is limited to our Red Feline Fan Base, I insist, and, to our delight, it's doing very well. What does this mean for our future productions? It is still too early to know. Bea hasn't yet received the news, she's very busy with her university studies now, and as Carmen before her, she has decided to immerse herself in film studies. Jac will be meeting with her next week to give her her percentages, which are pretty good, and discuss future possibilities.

PassionOfIsabelVidCap_00112112.jpg

In the other hand, Danielle has joined the company as a regular member of our team, she is studying marketing and publicity at her university, she is very fluent in English, and she has joined the team organising the horror film festival we're working on. She's also working with Jac on the pre production of two feature films and she's is also aware of the results of the release of The Passion of Isabel. She's very excited to see that. The past week was her first week in a full time basis with Jac. Next week they will be working out difficult scenes in his new script, a film with some GIMP in it. But she's willing to be part of Maleficarum II. So, the inquisition film is back on the front of the projects for the next cycle. One of the discussions with Bea will be her potential leading role in The Cage and Maleficarum II. Danielle already signed in for The Cage. Meanwhile, Amy is very busy producing a film in the US, she'll start shooting her new movie in about tend days.

Well that poster #3 is a piece of high-class erotic art, not surprising it's attracting buyers

Isabel Is Going Far!

PassionOfIsabelVidCap_00140913.jpg

A few comments are coming our way, maybe encouraged by my previous post, maybe not. Both, positive and negative, as it's always the case with ALL of the movies we ever made and all of the movies ever made by everyone else who makes movies. There's not pleasing everybody, that's the reality of this art and we know it. That doesn't stop us from making more movies, all kind of movies, weird movies, sexy movies, crucifixion movies, torture movies, experimental movies, artsy fartsy movies... That's what we do and we'll keep on making them. The Passion of Isabel was produced with our Red Feline Fan Base in mind, all those folks who began following us when we released Red Feline on The Cross almost 20 years ago. That's a long time for a production company to keep making movies and to have a loyal base that obtains our movies time after time after time. And it doesn't matter if our films are the extreme low budget films like Agent X, or the big production budget movies like Maleficarum. Our fans are there to get them. The Passion of Isabel has already surpassed our expectations. Of course we would love for this movie to continue surprising us, like Maleficarum and JUSTINE keep doing. We shall see.

PassionOfIsabelVidCap_00152500.jpg

Dr Yuya (…) Red Feline made Justine then started talking about doing pure artsy stuff with no GIMP, and based on the last movie seems they've once again gone back to using Jac Avila as the torturer in the GIMP movies they do make. Maybe I'm the only one who still maintains that its not a role he's good at... maybe I'm the only one who still cares... I don't know. But put simply I don't want to plop down money for a movie he's the primary torturer in because nothing he does convinces me he has the women in any real peril whatsoever.

There isn't a THEY in our Red Feline productions who use Jac or anyone else. It's Jac who makes the movies and decides who is in it and why, that was the case with Camille, Gabrielle, Jane, Mila, and now Bea. It's different at Pachamama Films where there's a big crew, three directors, two producers, a bunch of associate producers, large cast and so on. Jac has been playing the torturer even before Red Feline on The Cross and all the way until The Passion of Isabel. Long before JUSTINE.

PassionOfIsabelVidCap_00170810.jpg

The Passion of Isabel is Jac going back to his Red Feline roots, with one willing actress, some cool ideas, the benefit of a great location and lots of equipment, and that's that. In the 20 years since we released Red Feline on The Cross, that has been the norm for Red Feline productions. Jac tortured, whipped and crucified Camille, Gabrielle, Celeste, Jane, Mila and now Bea, in intense films like Red Feline on The Cross, Agent X, Fantom, the Via Crucis of Camille series, the Seven Days on the Cross series and so many more. The Passion is one more in the long list of Red Feline productions. Some people enjoy ALL of those movies, some people like SOME of those movies, some people do not care for any of those movies. The fact is that those movies were the bread and butter of everything we did all these years and now that we jumped into big budget productions with tons of GIMP in them, like Maleficarum, Le Marquis de la Croix, Dead But Dreaming, BARBAZUL and so on, we can have other actors do the torturing, but it's not that easy to find them and it's very difficult to convince the actresses to submit themselves to nasty tortures at the hands of any other person than Jac. C'est La Vie.

PassionOfIsabelVidCap_00181107.jpg

Eulalia Well that poster #3 is a piece of high-class erotic art, not surprising it's attracting buyers (though the blend of soft colours makes me suddenly have a powerful longing for a box of chocolates! :D)

Indeed, that still from the film is a high class erotic art, as well as all the images in the film itself. I find it fascinating that Jac can accomplish such great photography while at the same time acting in front of the camera. How does he know that the shot is working out ok? How does he know that they are not out of frame? That the lights are fine? I don't really know. I did a couple of films with him, so many years ago, where I was in the tortured woman position, so I had the experience of working under those conditions, just me and him, me acting, him doing everything else, I know how difficult those conditions are, so I'm always amazed. He's a great photographer and has a keen eye for the type of shots he wants to get; he sets the camera and then leaves it, hoping that it will capture it all. It is very difficult but he gets away with it most of the time. He's probably the only one in the world that does that for a big, 90 minute production with tons of shots, with lots of acting, torture sequences... and all of that. I'm processing the VidCaps Jac gave me, lots of them, and each image represents ONE frame of the movie and each one of the ones I get is gorgeous. In each picture Bea looks stunning, her expressions mesmerising, I, too, long for a box of chocolates!

PassionOfIsabelVidCap_00182207.jpg

R Hey, Jac, hope all is well with you... pleasant surprise to see the new production "The Passion Of Isabella"...ordered and received...was able to view on my computer, though not DVD player... nonetheless enjoyed it immensely.... I see it was filmed entirely in your basement (lol!)....and you have a lovely new victim in the role...in any case, thanks for a great new production! one of these days I will make good on my threat to send a treatment for a film idea that you and/or Amy might appreciate...be well

I'm glad to hear from people that loved our films. I believe that most of the people that watch our movies love them, and that means ALL of our movies. And just to clear things up, understanding that the comment means it as a joke, the location is not Jac's basement of course, it is the same location where we shot Maleficarum , Le Marquis de la Croix and JUSTINE . The Passion is the last film we'll ever shoot in that location. The place has been leased, for a long, long time, to a different sort of business. Still, it is used to torture men and women every single day of the year. It is now a TATTOO PARLOR. Indeed.

PassionOfIsabelVidCap_00183920.jpg

Michael Max Ok, I have purchased and watched the Passion of Isabel and I am going to share my impressions of it. If you, a reader, wish to avoid spoilers, then please look away now. I will just say right upfront that there is not much positive to say about this sequence of moving images. This movie is an absolute insult to film making. A total abomination. There is no plot, not a single line of dialogue as far as I can tell, and it goes absolutely nowhere to the very end. Granted, Isabel looks pretty chained up, but it means nothing without any sort of context. Even the most rudimentary character development would have gone a long way to make her plight feel "real". For goodness sake, if it is such a big problem to write a basic plot development script, then I submit my candidacy. I can write a script pro bono that will beat this by orders of magnitude. My advice right now is: do not buy "Passion of Isabel". It's a waste of time and money. I really wish that it wasn't so.

Hmm. Anyone that knows about our Red Feline productions, and many here do, knows that for the most part all of those movies do not have dialogue. The very first one, Red Feline on The Cross , that rose to prominence back in 1998 and still carries some weight with audiences, has not ONE word of dialogue. There's a plot, yes, the torture and crucifixion of a beautiful young woman, that's the plot. I can say the same for all of the Red Feline productions, like Agent X , Aristocrux , Seven Days on the Cross and so on. There's some important dialogue in The Passion of Isabel , in key parts of the movie, but the film is about the methodic breaking down of a woman's body and soul through torture. That's the plot. In our big production budget movies, there's plenty of dialogue and plots and sub plots and character development, like in BARBAZUL , Martyr or The Death of St Eulalia , Dead But Dreaming , and so on. Some people argued that maybe in JUSTINE there was too much, particularly too much talk to the camera. I'm not going to engage in arguments about the pros and cons of the Red Feline style of our movies, they are what they are and we have a strong following for them. I'm just going to give a big warning. THERE'S VERY LITTLE DIALOGUE IN THE PASSION OF ISABEL , BEWARE! And yes, Bea looks absolutely beautiful chained up, whipped, tortured and so on and so forth.

Isabel Is About To Be Number One!

PassionOfIsabelVidCap_00185903.jpg

It is natural, at least for us, that a new release will climb up the best seller list. It happened to all of our movies. The question is how long will a new film retain that first place once it gets there. It is Isabel's turn. She is climbing very fast and in the first 10 days it's already about to top JUSTINE's place. It would mean, when that happens, that in the first two weeks since its release The Passion of Isabel made more that JUSTINE in the last 8 months. That is a very good sign for a new release. I can predict that The Passion will be a strong candidate for the Number One spot the rest of the year.

PassionOfIsabelVidCap_00145515.jpg

The conversation about The Passion of Isabel is underway, with so many varied opinions that it's hard to keep up with them, but I'll try, to the dismay of some, but I'll do it in parts, otherwise it would take an extremely long post. We don't what, do we? I will start with Bergie14 who says: (...) Michael Max wrote (about The Passion of Isabel): This movie is an absolute insult to film making. A total abomination. There is no plot, not a single line of dialogue as far as I can tell, and it goes absolutely nowhere to the very end ;. My God man, this is exactly what we've been waiting for! cool Watching beautiful Bea get tortured is gift enough that requires no plot.

How fortunate was Jac that Bea was willing to go through hell for the enjoyment of many? I would say, extremely fortunate. When he gave me the VidCaps to process them, he commented that while working on the film he was too engaged in the production and the work to fully appreciate what he had going. Now that he is capturing the pictures, long after going through the editing of the film, which had its own tension, he can fully appreciate how amazing Bea was. He feels truly fortunate indeed.

PassionOfIsabelVidCap_00131323.jpg

bakerboy Re "Passion of Isabel" and the negative comment below... I have NOT seen the movie and likely will not since I prefer lesbian GIMPs, however I do understand why productions like these MUST sometime be simplified to appear " like NO plot and NO dialogue".... You just need to read between the lines...! Movie like this, simply because it is a movie (confused with real events), will NOT be able to be sold or processed by most payment processors or sold on any movie sites ( like Amazon) due to the reality of censorship, yet movie like this ( even without complexity) will cost a lot more money then standard fetish clips most producers make. Regardless of its perceived quality, I give many kudos to ALL the people who are creating these films and taking all the financial risks only to be to attacked by those who do not know the "background of modern censorship". Buy, watch and enjoy and if you need to criticise, do it objectively..

I'm grateful for the appreciation to the effort that comes when making a film like The Passion. We're very happy that we have a system where we can sell ALL of our production in our stores. A film like The Passion of Isabel cannot be sold at places like Amazon.com, a film like JUSTINE can. We could offer The Passion at Amazon, it's not too different from Le Marquis de la Croix, but we chose not to at Bea's request. This is not a film that she wants everyone in the planet to have access to, she has her reasons, so it is limited to our Red Feline crowd that is proving to be good enough, Isabel is going to be Number One this month at the rate she is going.
