I thought your idea of a pin-up was a crux manipulation :p

Ah, but there’s an unsubtle distinction between pinups and erotic fixations.:very_hot::babeando:

Ah, but there’s an unsubtle distinction between pinups and erotic fixations.:very_hot::babeando:

Two lovely pinup artist I have found are:
Lorenzo Sperlonga

Olivia De Berardinis

I have pieces of their work which I truly enjoy. Both artist have collections that are erotic and very tasteful. Each artist has had their work published nationally. I highly recommend exploring their work :)

Thanks, Eul. :)
Jucundus' comment and the 3D render, inspired by what he found in this thread, are worth repeating here -

'I have been a member of CF for over a decade, but completely forgot about it until very recently.
A couple of years ago I started making 3d images of mostly nude ladies in various perilous situations
(you can find them at visionsofdarknes.com), but somehow completely forgot about the subject of crucification.
Well, this is the place to learn about it! When I came across the inspiring thread about Alice Kiss I decided to give it a try, and here you are: my first image specifically produced for CF.'

This year's birthday tribute presents a cross-over between two of the Femjoy series for which Alice posed in the Crimea on 20 May 2007. The first session that Sunday morning was photographed on the hillside, looking west towards Gora Koshka, with the Simeiz Astrophysical Observatory in the background. The series, which was given the appropriate title of, 'Astronomy Class', was photographed in twenty five minutes by Valery Anzilov, starting at 9.00 am.

Considering the likelihood of tourists frequenting the exposed landscape between Ay Petri and Gora Koshka in early summer, it is to the credit of both model and photographer that the session was apparently completed swiftly and discreetly. As a Crimean photographer, Anzilov is familiar with his locations and the prevailing conditions, and he knows how to exploit these to his best advantage.

The conditions on that day were ideal, with bright sunshine and a deep blue, cloudless sky. The observatory on the summit makes this one of Alice's most identifiable location shoots, and it presents a humorous visual irony - was the session actually observed?

Having obtained sufficient pictures for 'Astronomy Class', shortly after 9.26 am, Alice and Valery set off towards a second location, between the observatory and the Ay Petri summit. About half an hour later, they arrived at a secluded wooden hut, where Alice posed for the series which would be entitled, 'Shelter'. Anzilov started taking pictures at 10.13 am and the session was completed in thirty minutes.

Following the 'Shelter' session, model and photographer took about an hour and a half to reach the third location of the day, on the Ay Petri plateau. The timings and the nature of the terrain suggest that they spent time walking on foot as well as driving on the roads, and they might have passed the time discussing the forthcoming photo shoots, with Anzilov occasionally pointing out features of interest.

Whilst this is speculation, the Crimean sessions were as close as Alice ever came to exotic location shoots. She was predominantly a studio model, and posing in the open scenery of the Crimea was a novel experience, which she appears to have enjoyed. Anzilov was an established local photographer with a growing reputation in erotic art, including underwater photography. His work presents the erotic nude in the natural environment, and he captured some of the finest outdoor pictures of Alice.

The session on the Ay Petri plateau began at 12.26 pm, and like the first session, was concluded after twenty five minutes. Again, the pair were fortunate in finding a secluded location, among the rocks at the base of the quadruple peaks. This series, entitled 'Freedom', became Alice's first Femjoy publication, two weeks later on 4 June 2007. The wild peonies (Paeonia tenuifolia) are very much a visual signature of Ay Petri at this time of year, and their vibrant reds punctuate each picture of the series, making 'Freedom' instantly identifiable in Alice's portfolio.

With no more sessions that afternoon, and the time approaching 1.00 pm, Alice got dressed and enjoyed the rest of the day off. She would join Anzilov the following day for the coastal sessions, starting at 8.00 am at the foot of Swan's Rock.

Whilst Alice had been posing for photo shoots since the beginning of 2007, by the time of her visit to the Crimea, only four series had been published - two each by MetArt (Rylsky) and MPL Studios (Lobanov.) In fact, Alexander Lobanov's 'Basic Instinct' had only been released as recently as 14 May, the day after Alice's nineteenth birthday. Six days later, Valery Anzilov found himself working with a model who was still very new in publication terms. As her four published series were all studio sets, they provided little indication of Alice's level of confidence in posing nude outdoors.

If Anzilov had any concerns, they would swiftly be proved unfounded. Ultimately the Crimean sessions were highly successful, and they produced eight photo series as well as the 'Cliff Hanger' video. Only in some of the 'Shelter' pictures does Alice seem to look downcast, although a degree of gooseflesh texture on her skin and the movement of her hair indicate an uncomfortably cool breeze during this session.

Otherwise, Anzilov's pictures present an attractive mixture of contrived poses and natural movements, with Alice's expression revealing her uninhibited enjoyment of the outdoor nude experience in an area of outstanding scenic beauty.

Freedom 59b3bb522f005-50pc.jpgFreedom 59b3bb69133b5-50pc.jpgFreedom 59b3bb569424b-50pc.jpg

The 2019 birthday manipulation employs a portrait from 'Freedom', placed against a background showing the Astrophysical Observatory. The background is not taken directly from the 'Astronomy Class' series, but is a more recent picture, taken on 22 June 2016, showing the white globes of the observatory from almost the same viewpoint. The time of year, weather and lighting conditions are similar to those on 20 May 2007 although the picture was taken after midday, and the shadows are more pronounced. However, this change in the lighting direction is compatible with the portrait from 'Freedom', which was also taken after midday.

The 'Freedom' series begins with Alice descending the rocky slope to the plateau. She looks down, placing her bare feet carefully, her right hand brushing the hair away from her face. And then she looks up towards Anzilov, seemingly unsure if he has already started taking pictures. The overhead sunlight strikes her right forearm, breast and hair, casting a shadow over her face and upper body. But the shadow is softened by Anzilov's flash lighting, which is reflected in Alice's pupils. The flash takes her by surprise as the photographer captures her face in perfect symmetry. Her expression registers the moment of uncertainty, which gives this portrait a completely natural quality.

Freedom 59b3bb4e9a6db-1-2-ps50pc.jpgFreedom 59b3bb4e9a6db-psdet180pc.jpgAlicia Paeonia Tenuifolia.jpgAstronomy Class Mount_Ay-Petri,_Military_Observation,_2016.06.jpg

The manipulation combines this portrait of Alice from the 'Freedom' source with a peony inserted in her hair, and the observatory background, in just five visible layers. All of the components present consistent lighting, and only minimal adjustments and blending treatments were required.

Some artistic licence has been taken with the composition - Alice had her hair tied back for the 'Astronomy Class' photo shoot, but let it down during the following sessions for 'Shelter' and 'Freedom'. She did not wear a flower in her hair, but the peony, extracted from one of the 'Freedom' pictures, provides red and yellow accents which are complementary to the dominant blues and greens of the background. Like the observatory, the peony is emblematic of the occasion, and it provides the title of the picture, 'Alicia Paeonia Tenuifolia'.

I think those shots with Alice among the fern-leaved paeonies are quite outstanding
works of the photographer's art, everything about them is perfect.

And your creation combining the observatory and the paeony is inspired too!
The 'echo' of the observatory domes and her breasts an especially delightful effect.

Thanks, Eul - I believe 'Paeonia tenuifolia' identifies the fern-leaved paeony, as you observe.
Valery Anzilov sought out this location, knowing how spectacular the effect would be at that time of year.
Alice appears delighted to be immersed in such a beautiful environment - model and landscape complement each other perfectly. :)

When I discovered that the angle of sunlight and shadow on Alice's breast was reflecting the same effect on the observatory domes, I knew I had found the right combination of subject and background.
Thanks for your kind comments on the picture. :)
Happy Birthday Alice! :)

Four more samples from 'Astronomy Class' to add to our celebratory pictures!
Thank you, Wragg. :)
