She doesn't do that much for me now, but when her Playboy shoot came out I was at a delicate age and I remember it being passed around with some enthusiasm (we didn't have the internet, computers or mobile devices in those days)

You’d think "marilyn monroe nude" would be another lazy search strategy, but it’s kinda tricky. The only ones I could find were from her pre-fame 1949 calendar shoot, the one she did to pay a struggling starlet's rent, and the candid shots from the set of the movie she died while doing, which 97% of the planet's population have seen or know about.

I hadn’t seen these before, though.

Anita Strindberg played in different 'exploitation' genre movies in the 1970's. One of these was 'Milano Odia.La polizia non puo sparare' by Umberto Lenzi (1974), a very violent Italian police film.
In the movie is an iconic home invasion scene where gangsters suspend two women and a man to a chandelier. Women victims are played by Annie Carol Edel and Rosita Torosh, both two recurring actresses in exploitation genre movies of the time.

And then there was the poignant story of actress, singer, dancer Lucille Bremer.
Spotted as a Rockette she was signed by MGM - played Judy Garland's
sister in "Meet Me in St Louis" and was on her way to rapid major stardom.

(By way of Producer Arthur Freed's casting couch it was said.)


Then came the lead opposite Fred Astaire in "Yolanda and the Thief"...

which tanked, so of course they blamed her - "she wasn't ready...too young" etc.

And the MGM execs (including Louis B Mayer) who had spotted her and rushed to
sign her... just as quickly showed her the door.
Her career - start to finish - lasted about four years. Lucille left the business.

She married, had kids and was mildly successful in business.
Years went by and nothing was heard of Lucille until...

For some reason she decided to pose for Alfred Cheney Johnston.
Another Beautiful Girl - baisée by Hollywood.​
