About the price, I can understand that's a little problem for you, Bartnel.
You exposed the reason why I do comics and not movies.
Movies probably take A LOT more time than doing comics, to get what you have, nice animations, for example.
So, of course, you can't sell it for 10$, or it doesn't worth it for you, you deserves more.
But I'm afraid 40$ could be "too much", as a psychological level.
Your movie probably deserves that price, but I think there is a lot of people who would think "that"s too much for a movie!".
There is a very few erotic/porn movies which are higher than that price, and I think a lower price may help to sell it more.
To be honest, I'm really curious to see it, right now. So, I would say that at this exact second , I would be OK for 40 bucks (and I won't eat for 5 days after that), but I wonder if a lot of people would accept it, like me.
I don't know if it's your first product that you want to sell, but I fear that not being famous enough yet may be a bad point (In fact, I know you for a while, but is it the same for the rest of the world? ).
I remember that some of my comics started very badly the sales, and went up after my notoriety went higher.
So, what would be a right price? I don't know. 10 would be too low, so I would say 25?
Take your time to decide that very important point, that will have consequences about the future, and your own will to continue your fantastic 3D works!

Unfair, perhaps, but I think that's reality. $40 is more what people are used to paying for a 1 hr movie (like Mood Pictures for example and they have to pay live actors). I think $20 or so is more realistic. But you can try higher and discount later...

I don't feel badly for them. I can pay $10 to see today's hot movie or I can wait and it will go to a second run theater for maybe $5 or on Netflix or even later it will be on free TV (but cut and with commercials). So it's normal for people to pay extra to see it NOW. Same with books; I can buy the latest Best Seller and read it NOW or put my name on a list at the library and read it for free in two or three months.
But I think $40 for a 20 min movie will be hard to sell.

That's the reason I only do still scenes now! Animation is MUCH more work, and as far as what Bartnel's finished movie will cost him in terms of his time plus the computer hardware/software, for all of that, $40 would be a cheap selling price. But in the end, it is always what the market will bear.
I think some will pay $40, but a lot more will pay $25.

But, I may make a shorter "trailer" (maybe 3mn out of 20mn) in HD 1024x576 with sound & music. What price would you pay ?
... This is just for me to know if it is worth the additional work .

When I once said the price was to high for me, i got nearly killed in here...so Im glad now its ok to talk about it
For the full movie 40 bucks is absolutely ok, even 50. but for a trailer...im not sure if i want to pay money for a trailer, for a 3 min short movie maybe 8-13 bucks, which is much more then 50 for the whole movie.
As the other said, Im sure it will sell really good, if the price is good. As a broker said to me once, dont be greedy, you make more money, if you lower the price and it sells 200x.

Another important moment in this part od the story (this scene was just finished rendering yesterday) :
One of the bad guys, offers her a drink which is some kind of "cup of mercy", but she rejects it because she don't clearly understand what will happen to her .
(My idea : a second offer will come later, when she will have her wrists nailed, and she will accept, but will the guy agree to give her ? )
