I completely agree with you @Apostate : the keyword is FANTASY , and for me, it is important that it stays in fantasy - we currently are lucky enough to have tools to render it so realistically, with only polygons and pixels - so, let's enjoy it :)

To me, being nailed to a X-cross is being executed. Sentenced has been carried out, even though it may take some time before the last breath. Tied to an X-cross, and you are ripe to be tortured. Your entire body is on display, with all the sensitive points and orifices readily accessible. Yes, this is not different when nails have been driven into you. But once the spikes are in any other event must compete with the screaming agony of pierced flesh, riven nerves, and crushed bone.

I am not choosing one over the other; merely pointing out the radically different states. Nails are the beginning of the end, while rope means the party is just starting.

This bites a brick. You’ve posted "explicit content" here and it’s welcome, particularly by pervs like me. But you certainly know that DeviantArt doesn’t tolerate organs A penetrating orifices B, so this is what the British never call an unfair cop.

Since WHEN is DA worried about 'explicit pornographic content'? Isn't that kind of the definition of "deviant art"?

They decide to get rid of it they can join Tumblr as a has been.

I wonder what country they are based (or HQed in)? That might have something to do with it.

See what happens when we (and I am not saying you did, this is the universal "we") advocate the suppression of things we find objectionable. Sooner or later you become the objectionable that needs to be suppressed.

I guess their definition of porn is the organ A and orifice B thing.

DeviantART strictly prohibits the submission of materials classified as pornographic or obscene. There is no exception to this prohibition.

Certain content may be deemed obscene by the administration and as such the staff reserves the right to remove such content immediately upon discovery. The administration reserves the sole right to review and classify questionable material as obscene or not obscene.

Subject to a definition which they don't care to share.

That is their right as they are a private organization but I have seen a fair amount of it on DA so obviously they don't go looking for it, they wait until someone tips them off.

Like Wragg said, I don't bother much with DA. They are in such a sweat to be perceived as "mainstream" that there's very little of interest there any more. They don't even realize that they're just adding fuel to the flames that will sooner or later send their website up in smoke. They depend on visits in order to make money from advertising, and if enough people stop visiting, they'll be left with their precious mainstream rating and minuscule advertising revenue.

I, for one, always look for new posts under the Bartnel's Inferno subject here on CruxForums. Your creations are absolutely at the top of the line of 3D Artists, and I just wish those who don't care for our subjects to just leave us alone.
 
I have no issue with deviant art.


My issue is that every website has similarly decided to be advertiser friendly simultaneously, leaving nowhere open for free and human expression. Soon enough there will no longer be proper platforms for art that aren’t bot ridden porn site hellscapes. It saddens me to see the end of this era of the internet. In a way, this little Xenforo forum is a bit of the past internet, the way it should have been.
