they're not very different, I think they raise the same questions -
I'm willing to accept pretty extreme stuff if it's skillfully done and is a part,
a small but justified part, of an exciting story, but simply dwelling on it
through long series of images is just boring.
And, while torture fantasies are of course part of BDSM,
I don't see what these contribute to a BDSM Forum.

Good question. I'll try to answer, knowing only the posts by Marcus. Most of his pictures are not my cup of tea, either. And they do show extreme tortures. But whether you like it or not, whether you think it's completely unrealistic or not, he endows his victims not only usually with huge breasts that get torn off, but also with an extreme lust and passion for their sacrifice. And he draws them to show that. So, he does care in his way very much for the pleasure of the victims - they always end in the most extreme pleasure. The intensity of torture might be similar, but the mind behind it is different. And I can accept that even if it's not for me.
Also his drawing style is not so sterile, and every now and then he does something different:

Insofar as they seem to me, to lack any of the mutual aspects of the "SM", I'd tend agree...
