for a very long time and asked them why large images can no longer be downloaded. Below is the answer:

This means that all content you have previously downloaded (if you downloaded any) should also be removed from your device(s) as well, to help us protect our images.

Seems like they cottoned on to the fact that people would join, download all the images, and then cancel their membership.

While I understand their frustration with that, the fact is that people who really want to do that, they'll find a way to do it anyway. Those kinds of DRM-type things typically punish more legitimate customers/supporters more.
