Broken On The Wheel

Go to CruxDreams.com
All that needs for perfection is to have Xena on another wheel next to hers so that their bodies rub together as they go past each other :p

Not "broken on the wheel" in the conventional sense, but there is a wheel, and I feel they want to break her.
Or maybe they're just having fun?

Maybe she is - in spite of having a well-whipped back already,
she's holding her legs wide apart without bondage
(unless those weird shoes are some kind of BDSM kit).

I love the Wheel as a frame to be bound on to -
but you don't have to spoil a girl's body by breaking her,
there's a huge range of possibilities for an imaginative Torturer
without resorting to crude body-breaking.

it's just a clump of pictures in Quoom's "workshop" gallery - ideas he never developed into a full story.
to be honest, I wish he'd left more of his work 'unfinished',
when he takes a good idea and turns into scores and scores of frames,
blow by blow images of gory mutilation and abuse,
it begins to get tedious - for me, it does anyway.

Eulalia is stalked by Ennui, that delicate monster... or is it Weltschmerz... but I agree, I'll take quality over quantity any day,
we really don't need 30 views of the same scene from slightly different angles.
Besides, there's nothing worse than repetition, as I always say.

possibly Acedia?

As depicted (as Desidia) by Pieter Bruegel the elder -
it does rather match the way I'm feeling at the end of 2016

Ah, Bruegel... multa pinxit, hic Brugelius, quae pingi non possunt..
I thought this was a digression, but you have effortlessly brought us back to the subject at hand:

(meanwhile I hope that Hogmanay will dissipate your Acedia Eulalia...
personally I think 2016 has given me a severe bout of mal du siècle )
