I have all Manara comics on paper, i'm pretty sure that pictures with the whipping marks is just an illustration, but leave me some days to check

It appears to be related to a Manara story titled "Mors tua vita mea". A color version was published in Heavy Metal in the early '90s. I've got it in my collection but I'd have to dig it out.
I found a black & white version in English. That particular image is not part of the story but it may have been a cover for a published edition.
