Very scenic Madiosi. The Northern Forest looked nothing like that during Pp's recent visit and Pp didn't even catch a glimpse of a loose-limbed linkie let alone spot one kneeling at the edge of the forest and waiting for the hounds to get closer before she darts into the trees.
You'd better come back and look harder, then!

my Northern Forest is really the Galloway Forest Park,
those are (part of) The Southern Uplands
(and looking much like that in the winter sunshine today)
most tourists head on up to the Highlands not realising what they're missing
