Sideshow at the Roman Arena.
Though gladiator fights and crucifixions are the main events advertised in the main stadium, sometimes the sideshow demonstrations in the surrounding small amphitheaters can be equally rewarding. Witness here. As the empire expands to conquered territories, exotic new "pets" are found, The Honey badger(aka ratel) seems snarling and ferocious, and his interaction with the human species is not yet known. Where better to test that than here. The lucky prisoner is brought out and then stripped by the executioner in front of the crowd, arms tied behind back, making him almost completely helpless; it will be fun to watch how he attempts of defend himself or fight back. All that is known is that the ratel is omnivores, partaking in animals and plants both depending on appetite. Honey is applied to the prisoner, especially the unprotected genitalia. After all, the honey badger loves honey. This poor critter is starved and of ravenous appetite and picks up the scent of this helpless prey. As this is an intimate audience participation event, spectators may purchase baskets of sweet rotting fruit to hurl at this helpless naked man, or rocks to throw at the badger, angering him more, making him ready to pounce, attack and devour.
Unlike a crucifixion, the course of events is difficult to predict. It all depends on the fury and sadism of those watching. A very suspenseful show though, sometimes lasting several hours. As the badger is not quite the equal of the lion or tiger it still has incisors in the mouth. A slow and painful death to his captive is pretty much assured. Eventually the badger prevails.
Then the next prisoner taken out and presented to the crowd. The executioner looks him over up and down and ponders. "What creature shall I set him up against."

Yes, so perfect to crucify. I can imagine him before the magistrate just so shortly before. As an alleged security precaution prisoners are made to strip completely naked for trial and sentencing, who knows what weapons they may carry. In this case there is excitement in the courtroom, as the condemned is 19 years old, youthful and with a strong body. he could last a long time on the wood. The vendors of skull his are watching the proceedings, contemplating the potential profit.Prepare himView attachment 833036

PART 2. The show continues as the the badgers become increasingly infuriated. As for the first captive, honey is applied to the 2nd prisoner's cock and balls and these wild creatures pick up on the sent. The poor man relies on his self preservation and survival skills; first desperately warding the creatures off with his hands, wrestling them, the climbing the spikes on the walls to gain height. As can be seen from the dried blood, failed attempts have been made before. amused spectators grasp him, pull him off the wall, to fall into the den of these voracious critters. Then it happens, his genitals lost as the crowd laughs and applaud.Sideshow at the Roman Arena.
