English please: In the past most were crucified naked?

Being crucified naked was the norm if I was to be crucified there would be a brutal beating before carrying tge cross just wearing a loincloth when get to the site I'm stripped naked then flung onto the cross and tied down

If you were a slave owner during Ancient Rome, what sort of offenses would warrant a slave to be crucified? Would you use nails and take their lives or just ropes so they can continue to serve you after the punishment is served? I just like to crucify my slaves with ropes for at least 24 hours in the court yard to make an example for the other slaves, I think the humiliation and exposure to the elements would be sufficient.

These look like they come from a Jehovah's Witnesses magazine,I remembered that they didn't recognise the Crucifixion,as such,and depicted him nailed to a Stake,to explain their bizarre way of thinking...
