We have just been watching that amazing total eclipse across America
for the past two hours Oregon To South Carolina even the kids were
enthralled, fantastic to watch, they have telescopes set up down in
Cornwall hoping to see a partial one at eight oclock, not a hope in
hell it`s pissing down.
Just imagine girls, you are strapped down naked on a makeshift
altar about to have a knife plunged into your body ,a sacrifice to
the sun begging it to come back, that did happen to some lucky
girls in the olden days.

I Was only in my tees then love, but we never saw a thing,it was thick
cloud cover, i can remember it coming dark but we never saw the eclipse
me too - but lucky enough to be where it was bright and clear - I rigged up a sort of cardboard screen with a hole in it,
and something black behind, and it worked quite well, projecting the sun onto the screen so we could watch the moon move across -
just glanced briefly up at the sun when it had gone completely dark, unforgettable!
Indeed it had to be!!!
