I always wonder whenever I see images like these ... where they put all those mattresses?

It must be awfully uncomfortable to be spread-eagled naked on that bare metal wire mesh.

It's not that bad, I've tried it - not being electro-tortured, that would be a bit risky -
but an old-fashioned metal-framed bed like that is great for realistic torture-play -
and for real-life torture, obviously the wire's what's needed,
a mattress wouldn't be much use, it would just get filthy.
