A bit of explanation as to why these girls don't look the same in each picture:
The Sword Art Online series is set in the near future when VR games allow players to link their brains directly to their avatars. The first series is about thousands of people getting trapped inside the title game - which sort of resembles World of Warcraft - where, if they die in the game, they die in real life. In the second series, set after the main characters are freed from SAO, much of the action takes place in a new, less deadly game where the players are elves. The third series features a shooting game like Fortnight. The most recent series is mostly set in a simulated reality created as part of government project.
These pictures are of the girls' avatars. Some of them, like Asuna, are in more than one games which is why they sometimes have elf ears and sometimes not.
The two exceptions are Yui, who is an AI from the first game, and Quinella, who is a sim in the artificial world of the fourth series that has acquired self awareness and seized control of the program giving her god-like powers and freeing her from the need to wear clothes.
Now doesn't knowing all this make your life better?
