Some interesting stories there. ipooper's girl's dream and a night of pain I like because they have a feel that they could just be punishment rather than execution...though that in itself sets up a challenge, how is the woman going to live with herself knowing she has been displayed to every traveller and every idle bum within her city?
Shade Shadow Light is just intriguingly esoteric...something beyond what is seen seems to be going on.
But my favourite of these is The Crucified, that really does seem to be begging a story, possibly involving witches and the quest for forbidden knowledge.

A dream of punishment perhaps but, if it is, she has chosen manacles and chains that are not easy to remove and, as you note, she has also chosen the humiliation of being chained at the very gate where everyone will pass.
But The Crucified does raise questions that demand answers. It appears as a beach, a sand dune and coastal grasses but the strange building, the headstone with a name Pp's aging eyes cannot transcribe and the attention paid by the crows warrant examination.
