Hanging And Garrottage

Nope, not on that machine. Its kind of like a vice mechanism at the back, so it can be used very subtle manner.
However even if it was as you suggested, you still gonna need tight ropes. Floppy ones aren't going to cut the mustard .
Sorry to ruin your viewing , we pedants have to get our sick pleasure though
No one cuts me any slack...

The original Catalan style i believe. Though the user is seated a bit low. The idea is to quickly sever the spinal cord by essentially drilling through it.
I read this charming story (here) http://www.capitalpunishmentuk.org/garrotte.html
About a woman who ended up with the spike sticking out of her mouth.

I disagree with the history the writer suggests though. I reckon this version was originally conceived as a torture device, its just that they found it was n't much good at getting people to talk.

Good observation, Dazza - tight rope work is essential.
Keep it simple and it can be quite effective...

Oddly Bobinder, My guess is if you were to try making such a picture with "3D Rope", you would come unstuck, as the 3D rope would become "dimensionally unstable" (nice Dr. Who touch there). Which is the reason you never get a noose that looks perfect in 3D.
I make the rings on my nooses, with squashed globes, and a fat little torus on top. Then distort each element a bit, for a "hand made" look.

You are a craftsman, Dazza. :)

But that's what I prefer
