How To Talk For Artists And Users (Rendering)

Oh wait no, it might sound misleading.
I was to say anything strong at single core should be better, just with preferably 6 to 8 cores for these days though.
So yes, AMD 7600, 7800, 5800 or such things should work fine
while Intel 13600K or such might crush AMD counterparts too, just not by a big margin.
It's just that something like an Intel 10980XE like CPU might sound fancy, but actually perform worse than say, an Intel i5 11400.
Thank you, your explanation really make me consider lot's of things! I was tempting with 4060 Ti 16gb but when I seen 4070 12gb, that only slightly higher than 4060 but offer far more better performance than 4060 TI so I decide to go with 4070 instead.
With that said, I've come with my final specification as follows:

Proc Intel Core i5-12400F 2.5GHz Up To 4.4GHz
MB Asus PRIME B760M-A WIFI D4
SSD ADATA XPG GAMMIX S70 BLADE 2TB
RAM Corsair DDR4 Vengeance RGB Pro SL PC28800 32GB (2X16GB)
GPU Asus GeForce RTX 4070 12GB GDDR6X - Dual OC White Edition

I toned down the proc, mobo and ram so I can go with 4070 and this specs goes well with my 1,500 bucks. I'm planning to upgrade on next month, feel free to comment my specs if you have any other idea.

Hey, nice combinations but I'd like to add some stuffs...
RAM, seems overkill unless you love fancy RGB and Corsair.
I'd rather go with simple plain cheaper DDR4 PC25600 basic ones from whichever vendor, and make it 64GB.
Trust me, I've hit 64GB quite a lot of times even with my pitiful RTX3060 12GB before.

and IF 4060Ti 16GBs are available at lower price, I'd go that way too. 4070 is faster yes, but 12GB is a dangerous bet.
If the project goes 12.1GB, it throws renders onto CPU and now it's like 30 times slower...

I see, I have make my revision of the specs as follows:

Proc Intel Core i5-12400F 2.5GHz Up To 4.4GHz
MB Asus PRIME B760M-A WIFI D4
SSD ADATA XPG GAMMIX S70 BLADE 2TB
RAM Crucial Pro DDR4 PC25600 64GB (2X32GB)
GPU Asus GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16GB GDDR6 - Dual OC

For SSD I suppose it's already sufficient with 2TB for now, since I only have DAZ Products around 50gigs

With your suggestion, I even can have it over 1,400 thanks to cheaper GPU prices and also cheaper plain RAM and others as well

@seacrest I've found very good review of Lovelace GPU cards on DAZ Forum. Good reference for whom looking for upgrade new cards or consider to replace old ones.

Since it is harder to compile all these numbers up, I scrounged and gathered up some numbers for GPUs that might be of interest now. Most of these are in the recent DS 4.21. Please remember these numbers are not absolute, and can vary between scenes and versions of DS. This just a general idea of what to expect.

Iterations counts
3060 6.6
4060ti 7.23
4070 12.71
4070ti 14.175
4080 16.5 to 19.6
3090 16.7
4090 28.5
A5000 14.36
Titan RTX (Turing) 8

Putting all these in one spot really shows how far apart these GPUs can be in the Lovelace line. It is frankly surprising just how wide the gaps are.
The 4060ti is really close to a Titan RTX, which is faster than a 2080. On its own that sounds pretty cool. Until you see the rest of the numbers.
The 4060ti is somehow roughly half as fast as the 4070ti. The gap to the 4070 is also pretty high.
The 4090 is a ridiculous FOUR TIMES FASTER THAN THE 4060ti. This also means the 4090 is TWICE as fast as the 4070ti. The 4070ti is literally half, offering half the VRAM and speed. Wow.
The 3090 is 2.5 times faster than the 3060, so the gap was much smaller for Ampere, especially considering this is the 3060 and not the 3060ti.
Hopefully this might help some people who are looking to buy a GPU for Iray. The 4060ti 16gb is an interesting card, but the price is still pretty high. The 4070 is only $100 more and much faster, but you do give up 4gb of VRAM. The 4070ti is twice as fast as the 4060ti, which is just crazy. The 4080 is about 2.5 or so times faster. And the 4090 is on another planet. You really need to know how much VRAM you are going to need to justify a 4060ti over a 4070.
Honestly this all just makes the 4090 look like a deal, LOL. What madness is this? But that isn't really news, there have been reviews joking about this. It is just crazy to see the numbers spell it out this way.

In my collection I have an extensive overview of technical ideas from the workshop of the DAZ graphic studio. Their descriptions here correspond more to the needs of the graphic artist, more than to the actual use in the premises of the torture chamber, but I consider the spread of imagination and the wealth of ideas embedded in the objects to be enriching.
In this first set we find examples of fixation frames and fixtures
