It is time for a mother and daughter to be taken to the square for their sentence to be carried out...a public flogging face to face astride the wooden horse....as humiliating as it is painful. Are they truly guilty of incest....the gathered onlookers could care less.

Of course, for "minor" offenses a public flogging is still the preferred method of punishment.

There is this version of the horse that is brought to the square for special occasions....long enough for multiple miscreants, tall enough for the heaviest weights to hang freely, shackled to even the longest legs and topped with wicked teeth to bestow its dreaded "kiss" upon the rider's most intimate and sacred regions.
