Low Crux

Hey all,

I remember seeing a pic a while back of a really low crux, assembled from some branches, where the woman was on her knees with her hands tied behind the crossbar. Is there a name for this method of crux? I built one, just wanted to know if there's a name for it. Thanks!

yeah when you come to think of it the victim is perfectly placed to suffer unlimited indignities. mainly sexual,physical and verbally.... whether Male or Female.

Gotcha, though that seems an umbrella term for any crux eye level? At least, that's what shows up in the search.

I think it"s not a Crux, it"s a some kind of bondage, forest (outdoor) bondage in this case.

I seem to recall low crosses like these were used in Imperial Japan for executing three of the Doolittle Raiders by firing squad, with the condemned kneeling with his wrists tied to the cross-bar. Yes, looks like it:

The Japanese erected three short crosses in the prison courtyard. They made Farrow, Spatz and Hallmark kneel, then tied them to the crosses.

After the war, a Japanese officer testified at a war crimes trial that he hadn't wanted to execute the men but had to do his duty. He had the men tied to crosses to comfort them because they were Christians.

He told the men that Christ had died on the cross – “and when you die on the cross, you will be honored as gods.”
