These pics remember me to Unfinished Love - a story about Marlene Dietrich and Jean Gabin
To date, Marlene Dietrich is an international star of German cinema. As Marlene met 1938 in Paris Jean Gabin for the first time, Gabin was itself already one of the most famous movie actor in France. And since life sometimes makes every scenario in the shadows, the extroverted, shrill Dietrich and down to earth, taciturn Gabin became a couple, when they met again in the early 40s in American exile.
The love story of two movie stars began in the summer of 1941 in Hollywood. The extravagant German and silent, hearty French were so romantic as couple, united in the fight against the Nazis. They both went to war: Marlene as front woman and lead singer of the troops entertainment, he as a tank commander. A common future, however, did not succeed.
When Jean Gabins died in November 1976 Marlene Dietrich stopped hoping to see her love again. For almost 30 years she had hoped vainly for a reconciliation gesture of her former lover. But Gabin had stubbornly refused any further contact with Marlene.
