Good Bye 2018 – Hello 2019

Happy New Year!

MMMV2Sc17_9972_00061600.jpg

Another update about Maleficarum Monxa Mala

We’re getting ready to say good bye to the old and hello to the new. We’re in between holidays and everything came to a sudden stop, as far as the production goes. Jac intended to do some shooting this passing week, but it did not work out as planned, too many things got in the way, including some emergency work for funds, dealing with some minor health issues, some cast members going away, and more, a lot more.
To complete what’s left of the film, Jac scheduled three days next week/year, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. In those three days all of the scenes that are pending will be shot.

MMMScreenShot2018122960851.png

Jac is spending a good amount of time in editing Maleficarum Monxa Mala. He concentrated on a critical sequence of the movie to make sure that he has everything that he needs. It’s a complex, multilayered sequence, critical in the story because that’s when things turn from simple punishments to cruel torture. It’s a transition sequence and it has lots of shots, lots, too many events happening at once, like a three ring circus, really.

The good news is that the First Cut of the film is already at the 30 minutes mark. Which is very good. It means that the editing will advance rather nicely.

That’s basically where we are now. As everyone is aware, having two huge holidays in such a short time from one another, and such family and big party oriented holidays, including banks and companies going nuts and not working normally, made this past week a bit of a complicated time for all of us, but most particularly for Jac. We are getting through it and we will get on with the work as it should be done.

So, in the meantime, Happy New Year from all of us!

Ranking Our Films In 2018

Another year is gone, we're all a bit older, wiser, and in our case, with more to show. I will be posting the results of how our films did last year, one at a time.

Number One in 2018: JUSTINE (458 points)

JustineVidCaps00051821.jpg

JUSTINE was directed by Jac Avila and stars Amy as Justine, Mila as Rosalie, Bea as Omphale and Jac himself as Rodin. It was released in 2016 to controversial reviews at the GIMP but with great reviews elsewhere, it quickly took the spot of Number One for that year. It was Number two in 2017. The production of JUSTINE was completed in December of 2015 and it turned out to be the last film Amy worked as a leading actress and producer. She left for the US only hours after the last scene was shot.

The story:

Innocent Justine tries to preserve her honor but endures extreme torture and violation at the sadistic hands of the Marquis de Sade's disciples of pain, pleasure and sexual deviance, while her sister Juliette thrives in a life of murder and total debauchery.

In this latest post-modernist rendering of de Sade's classic novel, Justine's steadfast faith and naive trust enslave her in a number of perverse practices illustrating that virtue is no match for vice.

Rich Moreland (AVN and other magazines critic), wrote in a 5 part analytical review:
http://bit.ly/2shp0HP

Amy’s talent is on full display again in Justine. Undoubtedly her interpretation of the suffering feminine is hard on her body and eventually she will decide enough is enough. So if watching Amy on-screen is your pleasure, be sure to get a copy of this film. (...) the movie’s most dynamic image, the restrained and punished woman, surpasses other Jac Avila creations with the possible exception of Maleficarum. Amy, Mila, and Bea are easy on the eyes and offer the visual delights of a good whipping that S&M aficionados appreciate. But that’s for just for starters. There’s more.

JustineVidCaps01070222.jpg

Famed horror writer and sometimes critic C Dean Andersson wrote:

Jac Avila has created a definitive film version of the Marquis DeSade’s JUSTINE. The film, based on DeSade’s famous novel about the misfortunes of virtue, is in my opinion true to the book’s spirit and content in a way no other version has ever been. Number Two in 2018: MALEFICARUM (393 points)

Maleficarum0983.jpg

Back in 2010, an out of the blue solid offer of cash by Ralphus and a lingering idea in Jac's head, came together one day and MALEFICARUM was born. It became our best seller of all time when it broke a very high mark in 2018.

MALEFICARUM, the inquisition film to beat all inquisition films past, present and future, was directed by Jac Avila, it stars Amy as Mariana and introduces Mila in the leading role of Francisca, a wealthy orphan. The first day of shooting, a scene with Francisca, it was the first time ever that Mila acted in a movie.

MALEFICARUM was shot back to back with BARBAZUL and Le Marquis De La Croix with Mila in the leading roles.

Maleficarum0181.jpg

The story:

Maleficarum is the story of Francisca, a wealthy orphan and Mariana, her widowed protestant friend, who live surrounded by a town in which they are the center of hostile gossip. Francisco Verdugo, the Inquisitor, has his own ambitions. He has his greedy eyes on the orphan heiress’s properties, but he needs a pretext. A confrontation in the street among a group of girls gives him the perfect excuse to arrest Mariana and Francisca and enchain them in the horror chambers of the Inquisition, leading them to a frightful end as they are convicted of witchcraft.

Mike Haberfelner, wrote in (re)Search My Trash:

A pretty powerful and disturbing movie: Disturbing because the film doesn't really hold back in its many torture scenes, some of which are less than easy to stomach, but powerful because despite all the torture, the film manages to tell a rich story full of interesting characters, it manages to make the love between the two tortured girls who go through hell together rather than betraying one another, and the direction (successfully) aims for atmosphere rather than sleaze. To put it shortly, a very nice, well-made film. Recommended – but for above reasons probably not for everybody."

Third in 2018: The Passion of Isabel (375 points)
http://bit.ly/2Vx3Oef

PassionOfIsabelVidCap_01290923.jpg

At the beginning of 2017 Jac still had the location that was used as The Dungeon in JUSTINE with all its gadgets. It hadn't been used since the production of the De Sade's story ended in December of 2015. The owners were kind enough to let him store the props, specially the famous Wheel there. But that comfortable situation wasn't going to last forever.

Jac was planning to relocate the props when during the recording of an interview with Bea for an article about JUSTINE, she was asked if she would do a film like that again. She took Jac by surprise when she answered YES.

A while before, after the production of JUSTINE was done, Bea said to Jac that she wasn't going to be acting in a movie like that again, thus Jac's surprise during the interview.

After the interview was done, Jac asked Bea “Are you serious? Do you mean that? Full nudity?“ Again, she answered with a resounding YES to all the questions.

Soon after that revealing conversation, Bea and Jac were at the location, decorating it, setting up the props, testing the whips. They decided to go ahead with a film, just the two of them, alone, with three cameras, the sound recorder, and all the lights. The Passion of Isabel became a reality.

PassionOfIsabelVidCap_00301714.jpg

The story:

The year is 1501… The world is changing after a great discovery of strange and exciting new lands beyond the horizon. And yet, even amidst this hope, there is still the horror of the Inquisition. It is into this world that Isabel is accused of a horrible crime.

Isabel is called to her father's side at the high tower in a palace. There, she will meet the man her father has chosen to be her husband: Torquemada - the lord of all the land around her and the palace. When Isabel's inebriate father proudly and publicly announces that he has given her hand in marriage to his aristocratic friend, she violently refuses - insulting both her father and their host. Enraged by this public humiliation, her father rushes to chastise her. To free herself from his grip, she pushes him, causing him to fall from the tower to his death. This dooms Isabel. For she is locked in a dungeon to await trial. But there will not be any trial… Isabel's fate now rests in the hands of Torquemada. And he has only one goal: Destroy the woman who humiliated and rejected him. Will Isabel resist the tortures Torquemada plans for her? Will Torquemada break Isabel's resistance?

PassionOfIsabelVidCap_01012917.jpg

Rich Moreland wrote in a 2 part analytical review:
http://bit.ly/2TzkvE7

Bea as Isabel bravely endures her pain to the excitement of the BDSM crowd. But that is only part of her appeal. She uses Isabel’s anguish to seduce even the most casual viewer. It’s a rare talent indeed. Take, for example, the first whipping scene. Isabel’s arms are manacled in a crucifixion position and she growls at Torquemada, “Why are you doing this to me? Damn you, get off me.” But for Isabel, from now on it’s all downhill and there will be no tears only quiet resistance that still flickers at the end.

By the way, this a fabulous scene. Beatriz Rivera’s body is exquisite, her nakedness enchanting. It is one of the best lashing sequences ever filmed by Red Feline or Pachamama Films, for that matter, and that includes the riveting work of Amy Hesketh whose filming resume is without equal in this kind of scene. That, believe me, is high praise and Bea should be proud of her performance in this segment for it alone is worth the price of the DVD.

2018 The Closing of an Era – The Beginning of a New Cycle

MMMV2Sc24_9998_00014209.jpg

2018 marked the 20th anniversary of the creation of Red Feline Pictures to launch our first Red Feline movie, Red Feline On The Cross. During these 2 decades we produced over 50 films, that’s at almost 3 per year, amongst them 5 documentaries, 2 of them for NatGeo, 10 big budget, mainstream films, including our most recent production in progress Maleficarum Monxa Mala, many shorts and music videos. Not a bad record for a small independent film production company.
http://bit.ly/2ELYVZC

2018 turned out to be a transition year. A year to re-organise, after finally coming to terms with the profound changes that befell us at the end of 2015, to prepare for the new cycle. Three years before, at the end of 2015, the structure that made all those mainstream films possible, changed in a fundamental way. Amy, who with Jac, formed that incredible dynamic duo that led the company for a decade, decided to return to the US to pursue her new goals. She remains a partner in the company and works closely with Jac, but she is not around to work on the projects as she did before.

localroger I'm not quite sure how to put this, but I think there is a reality check to be had with regard to some of our smaller content producers. Making a movie is hard. It involves a lot more than pointing the camera at a model while stuff happens. All you have to do is look at our resident filmmaker Jac and his medieval torture movies, which take months to complete between filming and post-production..

bakerboy I agree with you 100% ...however, this discussion should have a clear distinction between "video clips" and "movies". The former does not require much skill, money or time, albeit there is a good business model in it. The latter requires a significant skill, money and time and has a completely different business model. There of course is also a significant difference in a running time and many other elements. There will be some producers who will straddle the fence between the two, and lean one way or another with different projects, but NOBODY can even begin to compare Reine Margot style of movie-making to "movies" made by Cruel World. Basically there is no comparison.

Thank you Bakerboy for commenting on 'my style' of film making. It's not mine. I'm just the voice. We follow two basic models of production. Big budget movies, like Dead But Dreaming, Maleficarum, Olalla, to name a few, and the more intimate, two, three people productions like The Passion of Isabel or even our first big release, the very intimate film Red Feline On The Cross. In either case there's a strict rule, the film must have a good finish, even if there are only two people involved and it takes one day to shoot, like in the case of Romana Crucifixa Est. Our “big budget productions" in the world of cinema are, in reality, very low budget films, I'm talking about less than 20,000 per movie. Low budget movies normally go for half a million or more. We do a lot with very little cash in hand.

DBDMakingOf1041.jpg

Ralphus One can compare the product Cruel World puts out to Pedro's output or what the Pachamama Films people do. One look at those productions and no one would be under the assumption that they were shot and edited in 2 days. They are handsomely filmed, well-lit and edited with care, obviously quality productions. They look like real movies.

Indeed. Editing can take from 3 to 9 months, sometimes more if the film is complicated or if there's a disagreement between the Director/Producer and the Editor/Producer/Scriptwriter/Actor. Sometimes two visions may clash in the editing room and that complicates things. JUSTINE was shot in December 2015 and it was released in October 2016, 10 months later. People thought it took too long, but actually it was within the acceptable period of post production. Maleficarum was filmed between December 2010 and February 2011 and it was released in October 2011, 8 months after production was completed. BARBAZUL and Le Marquis de la Croix, both shot back to back with Maleficarum from December to March 2011, were released in October 2012.

Our films have splendid production values and not only look like real movies, they are real movies! Some of them are shown in festivals, have theatrical runs, are featured in famous mainstream magazines like Fangoria and are listed in IMDB

Fourth in 2018: Le Marquis De La Croix(177 points)
http://bit.ly/2SD8YmV

LeMarquisTeaseCaps01204717.jpg

Amy, Jac, Mila and the team had been very busy since December 2010 with two big production budget films, Maleficarum and BARBAZUL. When they were done with Maleficarum Jac thought that it would be a good idea to use the amazing dungeon for another movie. They could still pay a month rent for a quikie. Jac had a lingering idea, a film he wanted to shoot with Amy, Le Marquis De La Croix.

Amy had another idea, why not make Le Marquis with Mila instead and with herself as Director. She had lots of fun directing both Jac and Mila in BARBAZUL and she felt there was something very intense between them that could work very well in Le Marquis, the same overpowering presence Jac had over poor, defenceless Mila.

Jac liked the idea. Without a script, but with a good solid idea of what to do, they set out to redecorate the set and made The Rack the main instrument in view. Before the month of March was over Mila was whipped, beaten, racked, Strappado, whipped again and crucified and more, all for the whims and pleasures of Le Marquis De La Croix.

LeMarquisTeaseCaps00212021.jpg

The story:

The wealthy marquis, sentenced to his prison confines (luxurious as they are), writes lurid accounts of his sexual imaginations. Fortunately for his perverse addictions, an occasional condemned female criminal is brought to him for a price. Such is the case with Zynga, a gypsy girl sentenced to death, as the marquis tells us, for “three crimes: murder, theft, and arson” (borrowed incidentally from the Marquis de Sade’s 1791 novel, Justine). The film explores the tortures Zynga endures and her eventual demise. The story is presented as a narration extracted from the marquis’ writings in his cell. As he completes one torment and plans the next, the aristocrat returns to his desk to record his thoughts and lets the viewer into his mind via voice over. The bound and naked Zynga is the consistent background image and the main motif throughout the film.

LeMarquisTeaseCaps00301910.jpg

Rich Moreland wrote in a 5 part analytical review:
http://bit.ly/2CRpHxC

In Praise of Mila

Le Marquis is Mila Joya’s film. It’s hard to imagine any other actress as Zynga, the gypsy. A lissom, statuesque girl with a body that begs to be displayed in all its glory, the native Bolivian is the perfect torture victim; she graces every scene with an eroticism that is never overtly intentional but commands every cinematic moment. In bringing Zynga to the screen, Mila whimpers, cries out, and looks pleadingly at the marquis, all the while amusing his perversities. Her most talented feature is her eyes. The pain and desperation she projects through them equips her to excel in this type of role.

Pay particular attention to how Mila handles the humiliation of hunger. Wrists and ankles shackled, she slithers on the floor to nibble a scrap of bread her tormentor casually tosses aside in an arrogant gesture of contempt. Mila fashions Zynga’s sadness into an image so imposing that the camera can’t stay away. Cinematographer Miguel Inti Canedo’s lens absorbs the native Bolivian’s agony while celebrating her beauty in shots that offer frequent close-ups that place the viewer into the scene with her.

Developing the character of Zynga requires few lines of dialogue but a ton of emotion and suffering. Mila accomplishes both while physically coping with whippings that leave real marks on her flesh. Minutes of filming are spent framing her contortions that become the overriding images of Le Marquis.

As mentioned previously, they are the frozen moments that stamp the film with the high honor of pure artistic expression. For the record, Mila’s story reminds me of an icon of Hollywood’s Golden Age, Lana Turner, who at sixteen skipped school and headed to a local drugstore where the right person caught a glimpse of her. It’s the stuff of legends, of course, revealing that the opportunity of discovery is never far away.

Ranking Our Films In 2018 - V

Fifth in 2018: Martyr Or The Death Of St Eulalia (148 points)
http://bit.ly/2TwS5dC

Martyr015228.jpg

There's a saying, all roads lead to Rome. That is exactly how I would describe what led to the production of Martyr (Or The Death Of St Eulalia). Jac and Carmen, better known as Camille, worked on a series of 'rehearsal' videos with the intention of producing a film Jac had in mind since his days of controversial documentarist working in Havana, Cuba, in a film about Haiti.

The idea in his head was “The Passion of Maricelli“, the story of a young woman who has martyrdom fantasies and at one point wants them to become real. That story was set in Cuba. It was never done, it might be done someday. But the concept was in Jac's head and he could not get rid of. He transformed that idea to modern times, and instead of Cuba, he set his story in New York City. And instead of centering the conflict between a domineering father and his rebellious daughter, he place the conflict between a post modern young French woman and her possessive boyfriend who can't deal with Camille having a strange and intense <em>working</em>? relationship with a fascinating photographer.</p>

Martyr002413.jpg

The story:

As the postmodern world is stormed by an onslaught of religious fundamentalism and resurrected holy wars, Camille, a 21st century young French woman, experiences the passion of a 3rd century virgin martyr.

Camille, a young French woman visiting New York with her boyfriend Julien, a well known French DJ, meets Tadeusz, a fashion photographer and artist who offers her a job. She accepts the offer despite Julien's objections. In an unexpected turn of events, Camille herself suggests the theme. She wants to pose for a series of photographs, inspired by the crucifixion of Saint Eulalia, the 3rd century Spanish Martyr.

Tadeusz puts aside his more lucrative endeavor with his live-in girlfriend and model Gabrielle and sets the minimalist stage where Camille will recreate, step by step, the prolonged suffering of Eulalia. All the while trying to understand the motivations that drove the saint to confront the power of an empire and sacrifice her life while seeming to control her own martyrdom.

Meanwhile, Julien, prodded by Dave, his American roommate and Iago-like confidant, discovers Camille’s extensive research on the methods and consequences of torture and crucifixion. He concludes that his girlfriend is involved in some kind of hardcore sadomasochistic relationship with Tadeusz and fears for her life. He sets out to rescue Camille from the iron claws, the whip and the cross.

Amy Hesketh wrote in her blog a very eloquent analysis of Martyr:
http://bit.ly/2VAIC71

In Transformation and catharsis in Jac Avila's Martyr

In Martyr is punctuated by photo sessions which provide the structure of Camille's transformation, and Camille's subsequent catharsis. In all of Gabrielle's shoots, we see the camera, the flash, we hear the clicking of the shutter, and the first of Camille's photoshoots has these elements as well. But as Camille approaches Eulalia through her work in the studio, the camera seems to fade from view, the click of the shutter is less frequent, we pass through the veil into Camille's private world, where she is becoming Eulalia, and nothing else matters or exists.

It is here, in that world, where we only hear Camille's breathing, her agony, her cries and pain, and suffering, that her transformation really begins. She distances herself from the other characters and slips from this plane into one in which she relives Eulalia's martyrdom. It is beautiful, ugly, bloody, frightening, and sexy all at once.

Martyr010916.jpg

A beautiful review of Martyr appeared in IMDB:
https://imdb.to/2RCMUM6

In The Fascination of Fear versus the Beauty of Horror

I found Jac Avila's film, Martyr or the Death of Saint Eulalia, beautifully photographed and powerfully compelling on many levels. His use of historical images of female martyrdom merged with contemporary reenactments to bring potent reality to past horrors and historical validation to what could have, in lesser hands, become mere exploitation. The film's interesting and identifiable characters drew me in, a fascinating plot and challenging ideas kept me hooked, then the outcome twisted me around, leaving me staring at myself as if in a mirror. I remember feeling similar emotions while watching Polanski's Repulsion for the first time. The two films bear little outward resemblance, except that both involve an inner journey. Catherine Deneuve's character in Repulsion, however, is headed in the opposite direction from Carmen Paintoux's character in Martyr. Deneuve's character is dissolving before your eyes, but Paintoux's is, while seemingly headed in a dangerous direction, in my view heroically pulling herself together by defying her inner coward and embracing urges she had previously avoided, because the more her flesh was tied and tormented, the freer and stronger her spirit somehow became. Both films, however, produced in me a growing fear for the end toward which each woman was headed. How Avila resolved his story was more unexpected than Polanski's and produced a lingering power that sent me back for subsequent viewings, during which I experienced additional discoveries. I was told by someone whose opinion I respect that this film had the power to change their life. Will it change yours? Give it a try! And then proceed to Avila's Maleficarum. It has the power to change lives, too!

Mila À La Croix - 63 min. - Color.
http://redfeline.com/2019/01/26/mila-a-la-croix-is-here/

The new film produced by Red Feline Pictures, Mila À La Croix, is finally here! This is a film made in the tradition of Red Feline On The Cross

At the time when our tireless cast/crew was preparing to produce Maleficarum Monxa Mala, Mila offered herself for a short movie to test the new camera. Jac decided to work on some elements that were going to be part of the bigger production, Dani was on hand to be part of the crew and be in the film as well, Bea wanted to work the camera and Mila was going to be Jac's victim, the objet d'attention.

In a very few days, Mila was put through a number of very uncomfortable, painful situations and a film was made.

The story is simple: Mila falls in the hands of a mad monk and a crazy nun who will put her through a series of horrifyingly painful tortures before she suffers her ultimate fate.

We're setting up the new film at our store at this time, it will take a bit of time before it will be ready for downloads:

Mila À La Croix - 63 min. - Color.

The response to the new film produced by Red Feline Pictures, Mila À La Croix, was great! It's about to take the number ONE spot this month in less than 24 hrs!

MAV @Reine 31154) - looking forward to hearing/seeing more about Mila A la Croix. I won't repost that original AOH pic you published a few months back but that definitely piqued my interest >:)

CruxMila_0388_00145412.jpg

The way I can describe this film is RAW. In a good way. No frills, only chills. No real plot, only torture after torture. It was done out of the inspiration of the moment. Mila said, let's test the camera with a real little movie. Jac said, ok.

Lashes Greetings all, In my humble opinion.........Bondage and whipping Amy is number 1 and Mila is number 2!! Damn they are hot!!

Mila is extremely hot as she suffers at the hands of the Mad Monk and the crazy Nun. There are no distractions here, only the efficiency of those who will make Mila's time at The Post Of Woes, the most miserable and painful possible.

Mila À La Croix - 63 min. - Color

The spanking new Red Feline Pictures Mila À La Croix, is number ONE in ONE day since it came out. And there's even a review of it, the fastest I've seen for any of our films. All of it on SUNDAY!

MAV (...) I got what I wanted which was a delectable AOH whipping scene of Mila. I wish Mila had more vocal (like the girl in my heroine movies custom [ralphus.net]) vs. minimal reactions to the torture throughout. We really only hear her when they insert the spikes and she has her hands nailed. The rest of the movie isn't for me but may be for others. It definitely seemed that Jac & Co were testing the camera and lighting so there are several pauses in action when there is just panning and changing of camera angles. My grade, mostly because Mila is hot, especially AOH: B

The film was shot fairly quickly. The normal shooting time for a feature film with a full cast and crew is about 6 to 8 weeks, sometimes a bit more if it's complicated. Mila À La Croix was shot in three days, more or less, I don't have the exact information at hand. In some way it was a test for some of the scenes in Maleficarum Monxa Mala and the test was successful, so much so that it was edited into a 63 min film. It is what it is and Mila is tremendously sexy in it, that goes without saying.

CruxMila_0384_00005920.jpg

petelobo MAV Thanks for the review of the new Mila movie. As I've said many times here, she is my hands-down (won't mention where) fave of the girls. Nobody there has her combination of body perfection, expression and facial response to pain. I went to the site yesterday after Margo's post--and again today after yours--and logged in, but I can't find this film--even searching by name. Is it a big secret how to actually purchase the download?

If you went to the club area to log in, all you had to do is go up to the menu and click either on DVDs or Downloads. If you were at the Red Feline Pictures site, the film is featured on the first page and in the post there are links. There are also links to both stores on the menu itself. And finally, in my post there are two links that go directly to the film:

Mila À La Croix - 63 min. - Color.

A Red Feline Pictures film
http://bit.ly/2k4LLwc

Mila À La Croix, is going places and we're very happy that it's having good comments here and elsewhere!

Jomaha Rene: I watched Mila a La Croix and thought it was good. I enjoyed the AOH double whipping and the bull whip. Would like to see the bull whip used again in the future. I wish the whipping was a little more intense, but I understand some actresses can't take it. The best part of course was the star of the film, Mila. She looks better than ever(especially being clean shaven!). Mila along with Bea are my two favorite actresses and I hope to see Bea again(and she should take a play out of Mila's book and shave too!). All in all not too bad for a quick shooting.

I would like to clarify that my name is Margot and someone referred to me as Reine Margot, as in Le Reine Margot, queen consort of Navarre and later also of France, who was very much at the center of the religious conflicts of her time. I liked it, so it stayed as my Nom de plume.

Clouet_Margerite_of_Valois.jpg

Mila À La Croix was a quick shoot, indeed, and it came out great. It's not the only movie that was done in a short time. Romana Crucifixa Est was shot in less than 8 hours. Perils of Jane, the four part jungle extravaganza was shot in four days, and so on. There are some tests, both camera and set tests, involving Dani, Mila and Bea... even Simone. Which might be released as short clips, or maybe as streaming videos at the Red Feline Club.

CruxMila_CR0386_00002920.jpg

Simon Dear Margot: very happy to see your post again! May I ask: do you have new update information about the "Maleficarum Monxa Mala", thank you very much!
I'll have more information about Maleficarum Monxa Mala beginning this weekend.

Simon Dear Ralphus: may I ask you a stupid question? If I choose the download function, is the password always available? I mean, I may change a new cell phone after two years, and change a new computer after five years, is the password always available? Sorry, I am a computer idiot!

I'm guessing this question is for me. Passwords are stored in the Flickrocket website. You can save them in your computer or cellphone, so you won't have to remember it every time you log in. If you change computers or cell phone, you will have to install flux player again and download the film... again. That's the tricky part. I don't know how it works and I don't know if you can download a film many times. That's not my domain, that's Amy's territory. I'll ask her.

Lashes Greetings, I guess I am just 'stuck' on Mila! This girl really needs a round of applause for the work she has done and the effort she puts forth! THANK YOU Mila!
Mila will be very happy to hear that much appreciation. She might even decide to go at it again, solo. Who knows. What I know is that getting the film around will encourage her and the other to keep on going.

The Intense and Bloody Finale of The Production

Maleficarum Monxa Mala

MMMV2Sc25_0001_00050803.jpg

There's one word that can fully describe Maleficarum Monxa Mala, and that is BLOODY. There's a line of dialogue at the beginning of the film, when Martina, the older nun in charge of taking care of those who suffer the whip, tells the novices, "... and here I'm, locked within these walls, stained with the blood of innocent women“.

When Jac decided to paint the set of the torture dungeon, he and his three damsels in distress painted it blood red, but not totally, not evenly. He wanted to leave spots unpainted. The effect is that of great discomfort. The place is dark and it appears to be very cold sometimes. It looks like the walls are stained with the blood of hundreds of women.

The walls reflect a gloomy blood red light that seems to engulf everything. It's a terrifying dungeon. It is the stage where the suffering of the 6 unfortunate souls takes place.

MMMV2Sc29_0062_00003020.png

After a couple of weeks of no production work, the cast was finally in the set to start shooting the remaining scenes of the film for the final week of production. It began on a Monday with Mila tortured on the Rack and later made to crawl, under the whip, to the post, where both Mila and Dani share the ultimate torture.

Mila À La Croix - 63 min. - Color.

A Red Feline Pictures film
http://bit.ly/2k4LLwc

Mila À La Croix, is in the US, Europe, Asia... and going farther. A simple Red Feline Pictures film that appeals to most of our fan base, from what I can gather. As it was expected, it is our best seller this month and we hope it will remain there until our new up and coming release Maleficarum Monxa Mala

Pedro Margot, I am happy to see this cute face again in serious peril... I mean she seems to be really in trouble now... I almost feel an urge to rescue her... just almost... I purchased at least the half of your titles in your catalog and I think this release will be also a must have - because of her...

The cute face belongs to Simone, the star of Maleficarum Monxa Mala. She gets the most of the suffering, which doesn't mean the others have it easy. It's just that she is tormented with more frequency. Here she is during a break on one of her scenes.

MMMV2Sc30_0011_00135800.jpg

Eulalia This angle shot is very powerful, looking down through the sinister shadows surrounding the bright, bloody body, gives me quite a feeling of vertigo!

Here's another angle of the same scene. Mila, in the role of Lucrecia, the punisher, who eventually is punished herself. Maleficarum Monxa Mala is in Post Production now and I'll be announcing the release date at the end of this month.

MMMV2Sc29_0060_00004907.jpg

There's some time to wait before we see Simone, Mila, Dani and the others in Maleficarum Monxa Mala. In the meantime, you can gaze at Mila's beautiful suffering in Mila À La Croix

Maleficarum Monxa Mala's Journey

MMMV2Sc22_9996_00004701.jpg

Maleficarum Monxa Mala is in full post production mode. Not the most exciting time in the making of a movie. It's a slow process and only the editor has, maybe, a bit of enjoyment. Editing is a very creative process as well, and that's when the editor will use all of the skills needed to make the film the very best it can be. It can also be frustrating if not all of the needed shots are there and if some of them do not work the way they should. The journey has begun and we can only hope it will be done in the shortest time possible.

Eulalia here's certainly some classic camera-work in this film, brings out the beauty of the suffering girls

There's a saying, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Jac makes sure that all the suffering novices in MMM are a beauty to behold.

MMMV2Sc29_0055_00020112.jpg

D Santorum Mila was outstanding in Mila a la Croix. And Jac did a fine job of capturing her beauty.

Mila has developed into a great actress and along with her talents, she brings a body to die for. In Mila À La Croix Jac had to set up the lights the best way possible to show Mila's body at her greatness. What was meant to be an experimental short work, turned out to be a majestic piece of filmmaking.

CruxMila_0418_00024415.jpg

Simon Dear Margot: May I ask you if I choose the download function, should I leave the address and other personal information? In my options, I think it is not necessary, how do you say? Thank you!

As far as I know when you fill out the information for payment, the merchant account needs your address and the information associated to your card.

petelobo Tried again to download Mila from the link you provided. I'm logged in. On the page with the download (see image). I click to add to cart, then go to checkout, and I get the message my cart is empty. It's okay to torture your actresses, but kind of dumb to do it to your customers.

That is very strange to me. I went in to the site and made an order and it all worked out. We're receiving orders daily, there shouldn't be any problem on the site itself. It could be your <em>cache</em>, or that you had a drop on the connection to the site or the internet when you were placing your order. If you were using a cell phone, it's possible that you lost connection. In any case, we'll be monitoring frequently to make sure it's working fine.

Maleficarum Monxa Mala - Return To The Beginning

MMMV2Sc02_9694_00010415.jpg

The Post Production of Maleficarum Monxa Mala is going very well. After setting all the footage on the timeline in its proper order of shots and scenes, Jac went back to the beginning of the film to start cutting it down. The slow process of building the movie is underway with the First Cut for the first 30 to 40 minutes of the film, which were in a Rough Cut state for some time. The rest of the film, consisting of close to 4 hours of footage, will be entering the Rough Cut. All the footage is now assembled together in need of some good cutting.

MMMV2Sc02_9802_00035423.jpg

Jac revisited those early scenes in the film that set the entire story in motion. Trimming them down, making them more dynamic and to the point. When he was done with that work, he was satisfied and ready to move on to the scenes that had not been cut at all.

frog Reine Margot: Keep them coming, please. Particularly enjoyed this one: http://redfeline.com/promos/MaleficarumII/MMMProductionStills/MMMV2Sc22_9996_00004701.jpg.

And, of course, Mila. She looks so iconically beatific in:

If Simone wishes, she can become a big star in our Red Feline constellation, perhaps to the level of Camille and Amy. Mila is already up there, and she looks amazing in Mila À La Croix

Camille Needs Our Support

Martyr001838.jpg

I hesitated to post this, but I consider you all our friends, almost like family, in many ways. So, here it is.

The beginning of our incredibly rich Red Feline Adventure was possible because of our very beautiful and talented Carmen, better known as Camille. With Jac, she is the creator of Red Feline Pictures. Her early films, beginning with Red Feline on The Cross, launched our fiercely independent film company and made it possible for us to grow in totally unexpected ways. In all this time, two decades, she never asked for anything, until now. She's been living and working as a performance artist in France, she was doing fantastic but due to health issues she is suddenly facing some very hard times.

We want to help her raise the money she needs to help pay her urgent medical and other needs. All the proceeds from the films she worked on will go to her, not just her usual percentage, which isn't much at this time because her films haven't been selling in enough numbers lately, like they did before, when she had a comfortable life as a Parisian university student with her proceeds from her wonderful films.

Martyr001348.jpg

We also have some unreleased material of her, like the Rehearsal Tapes for the Inquisition Series and The Training of Camille Series. To those who can contribute 100 dollars or more to her cause, we offer those never seen, ever, videos.

Her aim is to raise 8,000 Euros. She already managed to get some of those needed funds from friends and relatives. We want to help her reach her goal and reach it soon. I will have more details and links for those who wish to contribute in my next post, in the meantime you can contact me at redfeline@gmail.com

TrainingCamille08p0045.jpg

I understand this is an unusual request but I feel this is urgent. We have a lot of love for her and we will do whatever we can to make her meet her goals and get better. Than you all for your understanding. I don't know how long we will make the unreleased materials available to our supporters, but it will be at least for two weeks. We do need to raise as much as we can in a short time.

IMPORTANT NOTIFICATION

I've noticed a number of DOWNLOAD and DVD orders were rejected due to Security Reasons. I first thought that our processor company was some kind of Tight Ass I Will Make Your Life Miserable If Not Impossible type of company, until I took a careful look at the notifications I received. One thing most of them if not all have in common is a Weird Date of Birth! For some strange reason, the buyer, or buyers, put as Date of Birth the year 2016 or 2018! W?T?F?!!!??? I don't understand ... Why?!
It looks something like this:

Birthday: 1/7/2018 - Payment Result - Message: Transaction Declined Due to Security Reasons

So, if you have been rejected lately, that IS ONE reason! Please, when you enter the information with your order, use your name, your date of birth, and all that information CORRECTLY! Thank you for your attention.

Right, this post was made under extreme duress. Is not everyday that we get some hard and stressful news, specially from some one we care for so very much. I'll return to normal soon.

Three Ring Circus of Pain

MMMV2Sc14_9917_00032707.jpg

Jac is in the middle of intense post production work. He has arrived to the center piece of the movie, that's when everything goes bat crazy, to use the American jargon. The story centers on Leticia, played by Simone, who at that point of the story where Jac is in the editing, reacts to the Mad Monk's advances and she says what he doesn't really want to hear, unleashing his holy wrath. From that moment on, the fate of all 6 novices is sealed.

MMMV2Sc15_9950_00030825.jpg

One after the other, the novices fall from grace, one after the other, they shed their blood, one after the other they suffer torture. Leticia, who suffers the most because she's the center of all the pandemonium she causes. She's tortured while the others are tortured. She suffers while the others, one at a time, maybe two at a time, go through their painful ordeals. And in the most bizarre way, they all collaborate in the suffering of the others. All except one, Justa, who, with her own truth, increases the wrath of the Mad Monk.

MMMV2Sc15_9944_00053705.jpg

This is the second act in the film and it is the most intense. It was the most difficult to shoot and it is the most difficult to edit and it is the center piece of the film. It begins at around 30 minutes into the film and it goes on until almost the very end, over an hour of incredibly fierce and extreme torture for all.

Sloth I have tried two times to purchase some or your movies, but the transaction is declined due to the security reasons you mention. But there's no field where I can enter my date of birth! I checked multiple times...there's something wrong with the system, if you get a message about this issue, because it is not possible to enter a date at all! Please fix this, I would like to buy some movies! Thanks

We are working with our tech support to locate the problem and solve it. We have an unusual number of card rejects, which are simply not normal. If the problem is not solved in a reasonable time, we might need to change the companies that provide the services we use. It's totally annoying. In the meantime, for those who are suffering this problem, we can work with PayPal. Contact us at javemeer@vermeerworks.com and let us know the film you want and we'll arrange it.

We're very grateful to everyone that contributed to Camille's cause. When she received the cash she said she was extremely grateful, to the point of tears. We'll be accepting some contributions still, as we wait for the results of her tests. We will not be setting up a page. Just contact us at javemeer@vermeerworks.com to let us know if you want to contribute. THANK YOU! (Don't send pay pal contributions to the redfeline email. It's not connected to PayPal, only javemeer@vermeerworks.com

jyydubs Reine Margot - I asked sometime ago about this. Will any other films be posted to Vimeo? Maleficarum? New stuff? I just ask due to quality. Content on Vimeo is markedly better than from your VOD site. This is why I haven't purchased the most recent releases. Thanks.

Vimeo allows for large film files and you can watch them for a fee. A DVD file is less than 4 gigas in size. A movie file, Full HD i1080 like the ones we have in Vimeo is at least 20 gigas in size. The actual size of the 2K film is around 90 gigas. That's what makes the visual difference. You should see our DCP version of the films, the format we use for movie theatres. It's just too awesome to behold.

Amy and Jac thought that because of the low rental fee at Vimeo, a lot less than going to a movie theatre, a lot of people would watch our films there, but it doesn't happen that way. Most people prefer to buy the films to keep them, either as a download or a DVD. The difference is huge, for every 100 people that buy our films, maybe ONE watches it at Vimeo http://bit.ly/1M7xmpu

Lets say that we get 1000 hits at Red Feline Pictures, where you buy our films, Vimeo gets only 10 hits during the same period of time. No kidding. We thought if would be the other way around.

We could try streaming our films at the club or something like that, for a monthly fee, like Netflix, for example, and you can watch all of our films all the time. Of course that works if we get one million people to join and we have lots of films to offer. However, the streaming possibility could work at one point under some interesting circumstances. Like a pay per view deal, which is basically what we have with Vimeo.
