Peter Cook and Dudley Moore (a relation?) had a sketch where they described how, during certain artistic periods, the world had been more full of floating gauzy cloth which is why these models were never quite nude. Gauze kept dropping on them and covering their lower bits and their "busty substances", as they put it.

There are eight of these lovely ladies, and for the centre of a city get remarkably little attention, though they did get nice yellow jerseys when the Tour de France started here.
