That and "Frozen Orange Juice" were regulars at high school dances in Pp's day but, if you really wanted the conservative teachers who carried the rulers to measure how close couples danced you would try to get the band or the DJ to play this one

Pp is not a beast you know :D.

Antony Armstrong-Jones (1930-2017), aka Lord Snowdon.
Photographer, and ex-husband (married 1960-1978) of Princess Margaret (1930-2002), sister of Queen Elizabeth of England.
He paid great attention to posing his models

(no, that isn't Princess Margaret :p)

For that matter, is Pierre 771's avatar Princess Margaret?

As sad as the death of Cernan is, I find the fact that it has been 44 years since a human last walked on the Moon sadder.
Of the 12 men who walked on the Moon, only 6 are still alive;
Buzz Aldrin (86), Apollo 11
Alan Bean (84), Apollo 12
David Scott (84), Apollo 15
John W Young (86), Apollo 16
Charles Duke (81), Apollo 16
Harrison Schmitt (81) Apollo 17

Agreed. Back in those heady days, we were promised that by 2000, the moon would be a popular holiday destination and that we'd all be driving flying cars, wouldn't have to work for a living, and would all live to at least 200. As I've pointed out before, the future's not what it used to be...

A fine woman, an inspiration even to those of us who can't understand cricket!

The Dr WG Grace of women's cricket!

One of Pp's relations, a long-time MCC member, was quite disgusted when she and other women first scaled the ramparts of that august establishment but he subsequently met the Baroness Heyhoe Flint many times and became quite enamoured.
She was also quite a talented field hockey player and wrote quite a good book on the sport. Her thoughts on positional play that were developed on slow grass fields might be out-dated thanks to synthetic turf and the speed of the modern game but they do still have value in coaching juniors in the game's basic.
Her leadership skills, so apparent as England captain, seemed the foundation for her success in business and philanthropy.
