"Gnaeus Lucianus was vexed; he’d expected the rebellious bitch to last for days."

Another of Andyman's consummatum est drawings, cropped from a larger one.

My private title for this new one from Jastrow is "Bringing up the rear." In the left background is an excellent example of a consummatum est image.

For two of these wretched women the ordeal is done. The one in the middle still has a way to go.

Fine pictures here. But often, the crucified bodies are looking like they are still alive. Especialy the skin colours. And later, when they will stay at the cross they
would look scary after a few days

Personally, I feel that the crucified, after their death, should not be descended from their cross and buried.

The crucified is, logically, a criminal or a thief and has been condemned to this slow and agonizing death.

Birds of prey and insects should be responsible for removing the bodies until only the skeleton remains.

The fact that the convict knows he will not have a grave should increase his humiliation and make him suffer even more psychologically.

Moreover, in many religions, decaying and not being buried is an obstacle to entering one's paradise, a failure to have another life after death.
It's a question of belief.

So, you would have the opportunity to see more corpses on the crosses.

Hello, Apostate,
from time to time I do some photomanips. But I don't post them because I don't know what is with the copyright
when I manip a photo. Can I have your mail-adress?

You need not his E-Mail. Hold the cursor over his avatar, then click in the opening popup on "start conversation"!

As a matter of fact, earlier today Vohe ran this one by me in a PM, and I promised him I’d steal her for this thread. ;)
