"'Le prigioniere dell'Isola del Diavolo" is the italian title (aka 'L'ile des filles perdues" or "Women of Devil's Island") for a 1962 movie treating
the WIP (women in prison) subject. The action develops around a bunch of (beautiful) women condemned to serve a hard labour
life sentence for their crimes. The location is French Guyana in 18th Century and the movie includes a few interesting scenes of women in bondage or bearing marks on bare back due to previous whippings. The stars are Michèle Mercier (at one of her first acting experiences), Guy Madison, Paul Muller and other less known italian beautiful actresses in supporting roles. I attach a few shots
