"Ugly" is a pretty nasty word. "Homely" or "plain" might be better. Ducans' drawings are pretty erortic (and this one reminds me of Angela Merkel, who is a quantum physicist and shouldn't be judged by her looks).

I quite agree, Frank. "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" and all that. For instance, when Ruthie Ross posed for Playboy a boyhood bud of mine pronounced her ugly. Vociferously.
The eye of this beholder disagrees.

Great artwork as always Markus. I really enjoyed the thoughts of the people in this little series. They add a higher degree of pain and pleasure to the crucifixion.
