Dating from 1458, this Gothic-Renaissance castle is one of the largest castles in Europe, and is now a tourist attraction, owned by the Romanian Ministry of Culture. It was variously constructed during the 14th, 17th and 19th centuries and now contains a fully restored dungeon and torture chamber. Some speculate that Vlad the Impaler was imprisoned here - an experience which supposedly developed the darker side of his character.

Love the picture of Bogie. One of my favorite actors. I consider him one of the early tough guys in film who always got the woman.
He and Lauren Bacall came up with the line of "You do know how to whistle? You just put your lips together and blow." Then Bogie just whistles.

I suppose you could call it a museum piece. A DC-3 modified for the US Army Air Corps was renamed C-47 and has a bit diferently shaped vertical stabilizer. I believe the white one in the flight formation pic is a DC-3. This one is a restored C-47 and is fully operational that was used along with several others in the D-Day remembrance ceremonies this past June 6th. Here are the rest of the pics.
