Japanese prisoner of war being taken off a submarine.
(Shiva doesn't know I have this version!)
It is worth noting that there were damned few Japanese prisoners of war in the Pacific (see, for example, "Irreconcilable Foes", by Heinrichs and Gallacchio). Unlike the Germans, the Japanese refused to acknowledge defeat--that is one of the reasons the atomic bomb was used. Even after Hirohito decided to call for surrender, army zealots actually invaded the imperial palace looking for the wax disc of his speech to prevent it from being broadcast. Most of this history (and most of the war-time intelligence) comes from the fact that the United States had broken almost all the Japanese codes (including the diplomatic one--the traffic with the Moscow embassy yielded the information about what the Japanese cabinet was discussing). Most Japanese government records were burned before the occupation forces could arrive. The Japanese hoped that a diehard resistance would yield a negotiated peace with favorable terms due to American war weariness.

Now crucified

Beautifully done!
A tight toned body stretched invitingly on the cross.

The body broken on the Wheel in the background adds a frisson of horror.

Not so detailed as to be distracting, but showing enough to excite our interest.

He has done you proud Kitty!
