They'd love that, of course.

That picture for me is one of the most intense scenes relating to slavery. Naked, heavily chained, thrown a few scraps onto the filthy floor. If they don't know their bleak future after this, they never will.

I think men would fight for the food. Would women? Does the length of prior starvation influence the outcome? My instinct is that women would be kinder to each other, but am I wrong?
