Really like the subtle detail in this one.
That one is my fav ... not a part of the crux scene that is depicted very often!Workmen doing their job, taking down what had once been a woman, making space for the next execution in the "never-ending scenario" Thanks Andyman, for this and so many others.

A fine series, this one especially - the desperate struggles of the two females,
the double anguish of the man hearing and seeing the agony of his loved ones,
as his own body is racked and humiliated, all captured in simple lines.
The 'woodcut' is very much in the spirit of that genre too.
