I once asked Damian if he ever incorporated celebrities into his his manips. He said no, but I still wonder. In any case, Norman Bates would make for an interesting character in a crux story.

Playing around with one of those "put your photos in a museum" sites.

I won’t make a habit of it.

Aha - that's a forgery!

The original hangs in the Great Hall at Cruxton Abbey. :D

So he tells people, anyway
But you must admit it suits that large canvas and fancy setting very well.

Very interesting connection there. Art inspires art.

Seconding the Andyman recommendation.

1562525967533.jpeg

Here’s an early Andyman with three unlucky women nailed facing their crosses. The discussion regarding whether women were condemned to crucifixion and, if so, the position in which they suffered their final hours is borderline incoherent. Much of the speculation regarding women and crosses is based on a few ambiguous sources, something someone said once, and (I suspect) sex-based biases and some dirty fantasies held by the speculator.

One of the statements I’ve run across a few times is that “women were crucified facing the cross.” One of the reasons I’ve seen given for this speculation (and the one that makes the least sense) is that “men couldn’t bear seeing women in that much pain.”

As Andyman has shown in his sketches, there’s plenty of agony to see even if the victim is nailed facing her cross.

Have been browsing Madiosi's manips over on DeviantArt.

I like Madiosi's manips. ;):very_hot:
