The purging of the witches
In ancient times women were often accused of sorcery. The official word is that the women associated with and even fornicated with Satan himself.
They would conjure up spells to poison purer minds.
And they participated in unholy orgies.
In fact they weren’t witches. They loved nature and the gentle touch of other women.
They enjoyed meeting in the woods for quiet times together.
Unfortunately the church and government is run by men who frown upon such relationship and hunt down the women.
The women were captured, placed in irons, and brought in to be tried.
Trials in those days were even more laughable than those in a Tree thread. Rumors of the trials had leaked out and no woman wanted to face the judges.
The women would face an all-male court. The odds of an acquittal were near none. What could happen to these poor women?
