She should, as she's about to drown in an 18th century Russian prison, courtesy of Catherine the Great.

Princess Tarakanova (1864) depicts a flood inundating St. Petersburg’s Peter and Paul Fortress. The so-called Princess Tarakanova (in fact, her real name was never known) was in prison for falsely claiming to be the daughter of Empress Elizabeth (1709-1762). Look at the dark walls of her cell and the despair in her face when she realizes that the water is inexorably rising and that no one will come to her rescue. The true story is less dramatic, but no less tragic. In fact, she succumbed to tuberculosis in the fortress in December 1775, after only 10 months of incarceration.

The 1950 UK/Italian film "Shadow of the Eagle" offered up alternative facts.
