It's odd....Barb never mentioned a convent education.
Oh, but I did. I wrote and posted a story, with the help of other CFers, about that here, entitled “The Competition” ... it’s about convents each offering up one of their novices for a competition, organized by the local bishop, for the best crucifixion re-enactment.

I stand corrected! I dare not think of you in one of the uniforms the girls wore back in my day :eyepop:

Just don't emulate Oscar Wilde's reputed last words: "Either this wallpaper goes, or I do."
Some of the best last words came from the Victorian politician Henry Labouchere. He was lying comatose on his death bed, when a paraffin lamp was knocked over, he opened one eye and is reputed to have said "Flames, not yet , I think". There are books outlining his serious works, but if anyone wants to read about his eventful life and many witticisms try "Labby" by Hesketh Pearson.
