Wtf And Oddities

What book, Phlebas? I first saw him on a magazine cover. In 1972.

He stuck in my memory.

Hi Apostate, My memory deceives me slightly. I didn't realise the Frazetta pic was used as a National Lampoon cover. You can also get it as a pin, rather bizarre.

I've just checked my library and what I'm thinking of is Moorcock's Book of Martyrs by Michael Moorcock, a short story collection first published in 1976 and including his crucifixion time travel story "Behold the Man". Pic below is the same edition as my copy, 1981, cover art by Melvyn Grant. Obvious inspiration, but looks like Frazetta got there first!

Sound it's so in Eulalia's kitchen?

Now I have heard a Scot attempting an English accent. Reminds me of generations of English actors trying and failing to sound like an American. Not even a titan like Lord Laurence could manage it. See 1978’s The Betsy. Better yet, don’t.

The first Brit I noticed who could speak flawless American is Hugh Laurie. I watched three episodes of House before I recognized him from Jeeves and Wooster.

Well it looks to me like a version of Alice in Wonderland
where she's drunk a shrinking potion
and every bit of her is getting smaller
except for one - no two - bits the potion hasn't reached :tits:
