"l learn'd a sang in Annandale,
Nine inch will please a lady."

but that looks more like twelve! :eek:

hmm yeah it's hard to tell what happens to a woman's bits once they've had a sprog... perhaps they can enlighten us naive males ??

You'll have to ask Dorothy - we're designed to expand down there,
but I'm not sure I'd fancy that thing in me!

Nine inch will please a lady

Come rede me, dame, come tell me, dame,
My dame, come tell me truly,
What length o' graith, when weel ca'd hame,
Will ser'e a woman duly?
The carlin clew her wanton tail,
Her wanton tail sae ready;
I learn't a sang in Annandale,
Nine inch will please a lady.

But for a countrie cunt like mine,
In sooth we're nae sae gentle;
We'll tak' twa thumb-bread to the nine,
And that's a sonsie pintle.
O leeze me on my Charlie lad!
I'll ne'er forget my Charlie!
Twa roarin' handfu' and a daud,
He nidg't it in fu' rarely.

But weary fa' the laithern doup,
And may it ne'er ken thrivin';
It's no the length that gars me loup,
But it's the double drivin'.
Come nidge me Tam, come nodge me Tam,
Come nidge me o'er the nyvle;
Come louse and lug your batterin' ram,
And thrash him at my gyvel.
:D

This one calls for a "By Jupiter!":confused:

Any idea for a story, someone?:partyhat:
They invented concrete too... crucifixion was too time consuming and too expensive so they invented the machine gun and hid the gunned down corpses in their aqueducts. :)

I'm sure that's in the Roman Resources thread somewhere :confused:

You call that piddling little thing a ballista?
Let me show you a proper war-machine:
9 AD:
Centurion : "But Emperor, this weapon could be very useful when we will march into the Teutoburger Forest!"
Augustus : "I don't want to hear it! Get rid of it! You take a few ballista"s with you, that is a real war weapon! You do not need more to scare the Barbarians!"

But, in North Africa, they used more practical weapons.

So I went looking for the Roman soldiers in the 1973 film version of Jesus Christ Superstar.

And found the third one on an unrelated site called funnyjunk.com. :confused:

Looks like the MG3. I thought always, thats a German construction. And now I must learn, it's a Roman weapon.
