I stand corrected.
I believe, upon further research, that the tan uniforms are militia/reserve units. They seem to be equiped with older weapons like the Mosin-Nagant and even the PPSh.

Women in the Regular Army and Navy do - at least on parade - carry the DPRK version of the AK-47.

Even if they have outdated weapons and their missles barely get off the ground and most of the country is starving, the North Koreans still are second to no other army in one thing: medals!:D
