These are created characters from a video game called Skyrim. Modded of course in the case of any who are nude.
You can only choose one, or you can choose all if you want to cheat. Crime? they were priestesses who were practicing an outlawed religion, a direct violation of the queen's decree.. whoever you choose, please state why you chose them over the others. or if all, please state this as well

one or all is to be crucified during the coming lunar eclipse that happens in the next two days....

I may be getting confused here - they all look like the same girl with different hairstyles, so, assuming they are all one person, does it make any difference which choice is made?

The choice is up to you. the reason they look somewhat the same as each other is because there is only so much you can do with a given system, even with mods.

Okay, that explains my confusion. Sounds like they are all equally guilty, so I guess all should take the fall together. On the other hand, I'm more inclined to just crucify the Queen instead...

Crucify her. She may be a priestess (although I'm not entirely sure).

The rest of these girls:

...appear to be warriors or shieldmaidens. They may recant their heresy, or battle against each other for our entertainment.

Yeah, the one you picked is preparing herself for the ritual. the others are deeply religious as well, but happen to be the few who can actually fight to a small extend. the second to the last one with the pale skin and piercing eyes is actually the high priestess Serana leader of the shrine and that's actually an Elder Scroll on her back, not a weapon.

I identify with this girl, she's got an intelligent yet slightly anxious, unconfident air,
even if she's clad as a warrior (it's hard to tell), she's more a thinker than a doer,
she has a strong submissive streak, yet she's no wimp, she'll dance well under torture!

Indeed, those two are sisters. the first one is the oldest by one year.

I always wonder about that business about turning back from vampire to human - is it actually a cure? I mean, you'd have to think of being a vampire as an affliction. Not sure I would feel that way. Stay up all night, sleep in the daytime, lots of easy food around, live forever. What's not to like? No, I think turning back from being a vampire would be more of an imposition than a cure.
