There was one theory that Joan Of Ark was
ring burnt does anyone else think that
i have been to Rouen very disappointing
metal post in the middle of an outdoor
market that`s all there is
Ring burnt? what does that mean?

I did watch a really good history program that challenged the legend you usually hear about and depicted in paintings.

Accounts at the time said that rather than bravely walking to the stake to accept her fate like some fearless saint, she was terrified to the point of insanity, and her clothes were burned from her body "so that the crowd could see that she was a mere woman" then once the crowd had had their fill of her scorched body, and no doubt her writhing agony, the flames were rekindled to put her to death.

Ring burning is form of burning. The wood is not under you or on you, but around you.
It is the whorst form. It is slow, you dying from 30 to 45 minutes.

Joan d´Arc travel through French moustly on enemy teritory when she was only 16.
In her 17 she fight English on Orlean where she was shot ho her chest by arrow, Troyes and Patay.
French army before her go from defeat to deafet. Poitiers, Crécy and Agincourt.
She made the new french King by capturing Reims.
In her 18 she was captured.
She was only 19 when she was interrogate on daily basis. Every day in chains and food only to survive.

She was brave and intelligent.

And if You imagine daying 45 minutes in agony, I would have been scare to death.
But she put on man clothes and sentence herself to death. That is bravery and faith.

I was there as well.
She was ring burnt on high platform from rock. Build specialy for her.
It was because English want that fire would by see in far distant.
Big platform disable executioner to kill his victim whit fork.
And bishop wont that the crow see her burnt private parts.

It is a sad place and the sword up side down forming a cross is decent and elegant.

Was You in the Hystorical Joan d´Arc?

As far as i can make out the fire is burnt in a ring around the victim
so she would probably choke from the smoke from the fire, not
as much fun as being on top of a burning bonfire
Oh, I imagine you can engineer a more terrible death that way. No direct heat, just radiant heat from all directions on all parts of the body. No slow start on the feet. Youd start to feel it on those erect nipples right away

A slow cook. That's if the smoke doesn't asphyx you early. Breath deep, girls!

Here's a sad little story

During the Middle Ages, it was the common practice not to put the condemned upon the pile of wood, but tie him/her to a post, anchored in plaster, and arrange, and pile up the wood around the victim and the post. So, once the fire was on, it could go quick, and the cause of death was inhaling of smoke, and poisonous and very hot gas. It could only take two minutes before the victim was unconscious.

Boy am a glad i was`nt on a wagon train
Oh you'd have loved it!

Slowly burned bound to a wagon wheel. Taken out of the flames for a quick fuck then back on to finish

Or like the real life events sanitised in last of the mohichans where the two women were bound to stakes and tortured with hot coals for days before being finished with flames.

If i ever get this time machine working i'll swing by and grab you on the way out yes?

It’s hardly surprising that she was so terrified, given what she knew she was about to go through...a gruesome death that would cause her unbearable pain, making her scream in agony, in public before a hostile crowd that wanted her to suffer horribly. Poor little thing...
